In this work an experimental simulation is made to predict the performance of steady-state natural heat convection along heated finned vertical base plate to ambient air with different inclination angles and configurations of fin array. Two types of fin arrays namely vertical fins array and V-fins array on heated vertical base plate are used with different heights and spaces. The influence of inclination angle of the plate , configuration of fins array and fin geometrical parameters such as fin height and fin spacing on the temperature distribution, base convection heat transfer coefficient and average Nusselt number have been plotted and discussed. The experimental data are correlated to a formula between average Nusselt number versus Rayleigh number for vertical plate and vertical fins array. The results indicate that the configuration of V-fins array gave best natural-convection heat transfer performance as base heat transfer coefficient about 20% greater compared with vertical fins array. Experimental simulation data and correlations of the present work are compared with a previous works shows good agreement.
A spectrophotometric study of Fe(III) mixed ligand complex has been

Show MoreIn this study the melting point and hardness of the paraffin wax was improved by mixing it with 1:1 ratio of micro crystalline wax then adding weight percentage wt% of locally produced nano particles (CuO,ZnO,AI2O3 and bentonite ) for each addition to the wax mixture. The results showed an increase in the melting point and hardness values of the prepared samples by increasing the weight percentage of each nano particles additives. . It was found that the addition of nano bentonite to the wax mixture gave high melting point values (122.5°C)and hardness (81.2)followed by melting point value (97°C)and hardness(68.2)resulting from the addition of CuO nano particles to the wax mixture compared to other used nano particles.
The work is concerned with the characterization of as cast films of neat and UV-stabilized nylon 6,6 by employing FTIR measurements. Band assignment is made for neat and UVstabilized nylon 6,6 using FTIR spectra confirm their molecular structure. UV-stabilizer added to nylon 6,6 has caused reduction in the absorbance of the vibrational bands and thus stabilizes the behavior of the polymer in the end and uses specially in harsh environment.

The current study included bioremoval of chromium metal ions from aqueous solution by using seventeen Pseudomonas aeruginosa species isolated from different environments. The experimental results showed that isolates Pseudomonas aeruginosa have high efficiency in removal of chromium where the P. aeruginosa p.8 was the most efficient (P≥0.001) in bioremoval of chromium with a removal capacity reached 92.5 mg/L and removal index reached (96.5%). While P. aeruginosa p.4 was the least efficient (P≥0.001) in bioremoval of chromium from aqueous solutions reached 74.6 mg/L and removal index reached (79.8%).
