ABSTRACT This study developed two adsorbents for extracting salbutamol sulphate (SAS) from water and urine samples after derivatisation with 2-aminobenzothiazole as a colour reagent. These adsorbents include cetylpyridinium chloride surfactant (CPC) modified silica and alumina-coated magnetite nanoparticles (Fe3O4/SiO2/CPC and Fe3O4/Al2O3/CPC). Cadmium oxide (CdO) thin films were deposited using the sequencing ion layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method. In this study, the effect of the pH value of an aqueous solution of cadmium acetate at a concentration of 0.2 mol of the cadmium oxide film was determined. A specific, sensitive and simple method was used for the determination of: vitamin B9 (Folic acid) in pure and pharmaceutical formulations using continuous flow injection analysis.
