PHARAOH'S CHARACTER BETWEEN THE QUR'ANIC TEXT AND THE ARABIC NOVEL: (Naguib Mahfouz's Pharaonic Novels as a Model)
...Show More Authors

The Character is one of the elements of Storytelling, as it is the center of the plot, making it the basis on which the talk is about. The talk is the portrayal of the character while they’re acting; the novelist presents the character by interacting with the events, and the extent of the negative and positive appearing impact on the character. It should be noted that everyone has two personalities or more, each one appearing in a different position or situation. For instance, a man can be a father, a lover, an employee, a son or anyone else .. in another position, he might be a master, and in another a looser begging for the mercy of his humiliator, and sometimes he can show weakness to the one he loves, or show strength to his enemies, therefore the novelists' interest was to show the special side of the characters after focusing on them and highlighting some of their hidden traits. And in order to understand the characters, they must convince us with their presence and their impact on the events of the novel. After this, we should refer to Pharaoh’s character; a real character, not a fictional one, especially that he had greatly influenced the evolvement of events into sometimes predictable outcomes, because the reader has already a historical reference about him, and the novelist was able to have the reader’s attention after realizing he’s understanding the personality, and conducting his ideas relative to the time he’s living rather than the era where Pharaoh lived, thus, these ideas and issues may seem separate from the society in which Pharaoh lived.

The Theoretical research included two main axes to construct the character: first, the physical aspect. Second: its behaviour.

We conclude that Najeeb Mahfuz had widened his field of vision from all that is individual and subjective, to a social and a lifelike view that is based on the artist’s deep contemplation of life, and his eagerness to reach the essence of things, using to get there, a human model of a character that is an example of arrogance and might as mentioned in the Holy Quran.

And why the character of Pharaoh ? Because it is common between readers that Pharaoh is a mighty arrogant, so the novelist wanted this to be his starting point from Pharaoh’s individuality until he speaks with his voice through this character, saying that the great state is based on Pharaoh the great, and that the greatness of Pharaoh cannot exist without dedicating his love to his people to the extent of sacrificing himself for the sake of them and his homeland. And if we look at the Pharaonic novels of Najeeb Mahfuz ( Khufu's Wisdom

) written in 1939, we’ll find that he defined the traits of the king who feels glorious when his people remind him that he is one of the greatest kings. Then he wrote ( Rhadopis of Nubia ) in 1943, where he described a vain king whose destiny was being killed by his people; all because he didn’t consider the destiny of his predecessors, and followed his pleasures, so Mahfuz used to say: “ This is the punishment of the person who is unjust with his people and cares only about his own interests and well being. Then we find that Mahfuz wrote ( Thebes at War ) in 1944, where he gives a different picture of Pharaoh than the two mentioned above; in the first one Pharaoh defends his throne along his life with all of his power and wealth, whereas surrenders to his destiny and accepts death in the second one. But in the third one, Pharaoh started to build himself physically and mentally since childhood in order to be eligible for this great task.

This is how Mahfuz fulfilled the condition of the mask technique in which the novelist is more contemplating than the original character from which the writer derived his idea, thus the creative expresses his experience in life and his creative view of things bringing all of that to the reality in which the recipient lives.

The Feasibility Study Report as an Effective Tool to Evaluate Investment Projects: A Solid Waste Treatment Project as a Case Study
...Show More Authors

Hundreds of infrastructure investment projects are inserted into the Iraqi government budget annually. Many of these projects suffer from suspension, delay in completion, corruption, or other negative issues known in Iraqi construction projects. This may harm the country's economic recovery due to allocating funds to useless projects from one or more feasibility studies' components. Therefore, the best solution is to pay attention to the feasibility study reports. This study highlights the importance of feasibility studies reports for investment projects and their effective role in evaluating project ideas to ensure an equitable distribution of a country's financial resources to the most feasible investment projects. This importance

Challenges in Arabic–English Journalistic Translation: A Critical Literature Review of Linguistic and Ideological Issues
...Show More Authors

Translating news between Arabic and English is more complex than it may initially appear. The process is far more than the process of finding the same words, as it usually touches upon the structural differences, cultural allusions, and in most situations, the ideological pressure. This critical literature review is based on a narrative synthesis of 18 peer-reviewed studies published from 2023 to 2026 and explores the interaction of these factors in real journalistic practice. An even closer examination of the literature indicates that there are three common points of challenge. Firstly, structural and lexical differences between Arabic and English can be observed that have to be constantly adjusted to. Second, cultural and religious allusi

Determining situational dimensions as a method of Equivalence in the source and target language in the translation of Russian and Arab: ( Понимание реальности ) средство полной эквивалентности текста оргинала и текста перевода на русском и арабском языках
...Show More Authors

The present paper stresses the direct effect of the situational dimension termed as “reality” on the authors’ thoughts and attitudes. Every text is placed within a particular situation which has to be correctly identified by the translator as the first and the most important step for a good translation. Hence, the content of any word production reflects some part of reality. Comprehending any text includes comprehending the reality’s different dimensions as reflected in the text and, thus illuminating the connection of reality features.

Comparison Between Partial Least Square Regression(PLSR) and Tree Regression by Using Simulation(RT).
...Show More Authors

This research discussed, the process of comparison between the regression model of partial least squares and tree regression, where these models included two types of statistical methods represented by the first type "parameter statistics" of the partial least squares, which is adopted when the number of variables is greater than the number of observations and also when the number of observations larger than the number of variables, the second type is the "nonparametric statistic" represented by tree regression, which is the division of data in a hierarchical way. The regression models for the two models were estimated, and then the comparison between them, where the comparison between these methods was according to a Mean Square

The Iraqi Prose Poem as a Legacy of the Experience of the 1980s Iraq–Iran War
...Show More Authors

The essay investigates the rise and development of the prose poem form in Iraqi poetry in the period during and after the 1980s Iraq–Iran war. The essay follows the legacy of Western experiments with form following the First World War and their impact on the development of form in Iraqi poetry culminating in the prose poem. The dominance of this form on poetic development in this period has a close relationship with the experience of warfare and the ensuing of the cultural changes in Iraq after 1980. Poets of the 1980s war used poetic form as a means of dissent. The prose poem became for them an inherently subversive form that reflected their disaffection with the political, cultural, and literary conflicts of the time. The prose poem in

A novel method for the degradation of human blood clot by immobilised bromelain using multi-walled carbon nanotube and polyphenol oxidase
...Show More Authors

Pathological blood clot in blood vessels, which often leads to cardiovascular diseases, are one of the most common causes of death in humans. Therefore, enzymatic therapy to degrade blood clots is vital. To achieve this goal, bromelain was immobilized and used for the biodegradation of blood clots. Bromelain was extracted from the pineapple fruit pulp (Ananas comosus) and purified by ion exchange chromatography after precipitation with ammonium sulphate (0-80 %), resulting in a yield of 70%, purification fold of 1.42, and a specific activity of 1175 U/mg. Bromelain was covalently immobilized on functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), with an enzyme loading of 71.35%. The results of the characterization of free and immobilized
