...Show More Authors

The Iraqi sports journalism has paid great attention to sports events through press coverage of all its forms and arts, especially the coverage of the World Cup of football which is one of the most watched events in the world. Thousands of journals are preparing for the immediate coverage of such event which is a daunting task in itself. Newspapers have devoted a wider space to this great event in its pages as well as the weakly sports newspapers work on issuing a daily special issue. The importance of this research sheds light on the coverage of major events such as World Cup in Iraqi newspapers. The topic is new since no one had studies media coverage of this great event. "Mondale" has been chosen because of its success. It gets a significant presence among other Iraqi newspapers which cover the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. Also, Mondale is the name that has been launched by the world, Arab and local newspapers on the championship. The research has focused on what has been published in the newspaper of events, reports and other forms of media arts throughout all its pages. The researcher ends this research with such conclusions as: most notably that the Iraqi sport journals pay great attention to major sport events especially World Cup championship through press coverage that positively reflected on the level of the local game; the proportion of media arts covering the championship form a great importance running to 90.3% in comparison with other forms of press arts. Most depend on the news. What overwhelmed the newspapers is posting photos of 'Mondale'. The images of the World Cup have captured a large proportion of iteration and space compared with images that have nothing to do with the global event.

...Show More Authors

The oncolytic viruses are promising form of cancer therapy which is based on the selectively killing of the cancer cells. This study was aimed to investigate the role of Newcastle disease virus (NDV) Iraqi strain AD2141 in apoptosis. Firstly, the virulence of AD2141 was detected in embryonated chicken eggs after 48hrs of infection. It was observed a hemorrhage in the skin of infected embryos that led to death. Then, the ability of this strain for regression cancer cell lines was examined. By using cytotoxicity test, it was found 128 HAU/ml of AD2141 had a potent inhibition against growth of RD and AMN3 after 72hrs of exposure time; the inhibition rate was 86.8% and 86.98% respectively. Moreover, the apoptotic activity of AD2141 was exami
