This study addresses the selection of the optimal site for establishing a waste landfill within the study area by utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) techniques integrated with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology and the Weighted Overlay tool for multi-criteria spatial analysis. Six key criteria influencing site suitability were identified, including distance from urban areas, agricultural lands, irrigation canals, roads, villages, and barren (uncultivated and uninhabited) areas, with a focus on potential environmental and health impacts. The results indicate that ideal landfill sites are located at distances exceeding 800 to 1000 meters from agricultural and urban areas, providing effective protection to soil and groundwater while reducing air pollution and health risks. The analysis also highlights that proximity to barren areas constitutes a positive environmental factor enhancing site suitability due to minimal human and agricultural activities, thereby mitigating negative environmental impacts.A pairwise comparison matrix based on Saaty’s scale was constructed within the AHP framework, revealing that distance from urban areas carries the greatest weight (34.1%), followed by distance from barren areas (25.2%) and agricultural lands (17.6%), whereas criteria related to roads, irrigation canals, and villages held lower weights. Spatial overlay of weighted layers produced a final suitability map classifying sites into three categories: highly suitable, conditionally suitable, and unsuitable. Highly suitable areas were predominantly concentrated in barren regions adjacent to road networks, facilitating landfill operations while minimizing environmental impacts. The study underscores the importance of integrating environmental, social, and technical criteria in a data-driven decision-making process for selecting landfill sites that balance environmental protection with operational efficiency. It also recommends implementing advanced environmental protection systems in moderately suitable sites to mitigate potential risks and conducting continuous field assessments to ensure environmental sustainability
The research aims at the scholars’attention to the importance and role of Arab Muslim women through books and historical studies that historians and scholars have taken up like Ibn Al-Jawzi (597 AH) and his book Safwat Al-Safwa, where he presented the conduct of worship and their words and deeds, and explained to women worshipers other aspects of their lives, such as the scientific aspect Crafts and works as well as their prominent role in preaching and religious guidance, and the impact of this on their morals and qualities. This study showed the strength of the personality of women and their high interest in worship. The importance of the study lies in knowledge. The research followed the role of Muslim women to carry t

The management of municipal waste in general is a process of monitoring, collection, treatment or recycling if possible or disposal of waste. This term is used for waste produced by some human activities. States provide this process to mitigate the negative effects of waste on the environment, health and appearance of the city. It is possible to find solutions to the problem of solid waste and make it an important source of income and contribute to securing employment oppor

When pore pressure is higher than hydrostatic pressure, it is named abnormal pore pressure or overpressure. When abnormal pressure occurred leads to many severe problems such as well kick, blowout during the drilling, then, prediction of this pressure is crucially essential to reduce cost and to avoid drilling problems that happened during drilling when this pressure occurred. The purpose of this paper is the determination of pore pressure in all layers, including the three formations (Yamama, Suliay, and Gotnia) in a deep exploration oil well in West Qurna field specifically well no. The problem of this study is represented in administrative decision-making that takes place under differentiated accounting systems operating within a governmental economic unit that seeks at the same time to achieve a unified vision and goals for the organization. This study was conducted at the College of Administration and Economics /University of Baghdad, and it represents a sample from a community of governmental economic units that apply differentiated accounting systems. Assessing the underground conditions can be occurred by drilling vertical holes called exploratory boring into the ground, obtaining soil (disturbed and undisturbed) samples, and testing these samples in a laboratory (civil engineering laboratory /University of Baghdad). From disturbed, the tests involved the grain size analysis and then classified the soil, Atterberg limit, chemical test (organic content, sulphate content, gypsum content and chloride content). According to this policy, the system is subjected to imperfect periodic preventive maintenance restoring it to ‘as good as new’ with probability
