...Show More Authors

This study was conducted in a lath house, Dept of Hort. and Landscape, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Univ. During the 2021 growing season, Baghdad will investigate the influence of organic and Biological fertilizers on three Citrus rootstocks' growth and leaf mineral content. The first factor is the addition of liquid organic fertilizers Vit-Org (O) at three levels without addition (O0), soil addition at 10 ml.L-1 (O10) and soil addition at 20 ml.L-1 (O20). The second factor is the addition of nitrogen-fixing bacteria without addition (N1), add 30 ml.Transplant-1 of Azotobacter chroococcum (N2) and add 30 ml.Transplant-1 of Azospirillum brasilemse (N3). The third factor is three citrus rootstocks: sour orange (R1), Rangpur (R2), and C-35 Citrange (R3). Treatments were replicated three times (three transplants in the experimental unit) at split blocks design in an R.C.B.D. The number of transplants used was 243 transplants. The experimental results showed that the addition of Vit-Org liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect in increasing vegetative growth characteristics and leaves mineral content, as treatment with a concentration of 20 ml.L-1 (O20) was superior to increase in stem diameter of 2.99 mm and increase in leaves nitrogen content of 1.49%, phosphorous was 0.35%. Treatment with a concentration of 10 ml.L-1 (O10) was superior in increased leaves number of 66.27 leaves: transplants-1 and leaf area of 17.70 cm2 . The addition of nitrogen-fixing bacteria, especially the addition of Azospirillum brasilemse (N3), showed significant superiority in most vegetative growth traits; it gave the highest increase in leaves, the number of 65.28 leaves.transplant-1 , highest leaves nitrogen content of 1.56%, phosphorous 0.32%. The addition of these bacteria did not significantly affect the increase in stem diameter and leaf area. Rootstocks varied among themselves in vegetative growth characteristics and leaf minerals content, as Rangpur rootstocks (R2) excelled in increasing the stem diameter of 2.32 mm and the leaves number of 83.90 leaves.transplant-1 . In contrast, sour orange rootstock (R1) was superior in increased leaf area of 21.49 cm2 and leaves phosphors content of 0.30%. In contrast, C-35 rootstock (R3) outperformed in leaves nitrogen content by 1.44%. Twice and triple interactions between the study factors significantly affected all studied vegetative growth traits and leaf mineral content. Decomposition of selected chlorinated volatile organic compounds by ceria (CeO 2)
...Show More Authors

Chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs) are toxic chemical entities emitted invariably from stationary thermal operations when a trace of chlorine is present. Replacing the high-temperature destruction operations of these compounds with catalytic oxidation has led to the formulation of various potent metal oxides catalysts; among them are ceria-based materials. Guided by recent experimental measurements, this study theoretically investigates the initial steps operating in the interactions of ceria surface CeO2(111) with three CVOC model compounds, namely chloroethene (CE), chloroethane (CA) and chlorobenzene (CB). We find that, the CeO2(111) surface mediates fission of the carbon–chlorine bonds in the CE, CA and CB molecules via mo

The Recent Advances of Metal–Organic Frameworks in Electric Vehicle Batteries
...Show More Authors

High-power density supercapacitors and high-energy–density batteries have gotten a lot of interest since they are critical for the power supply of future electric cars, portable electronic gadgets, unmanned aircraft, and so on. The electrode materials used in supercapacitors and batteries have a significant impact on the practical energy and power density. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have the outstanding electrochemical ability because of their ultrahigh porous structure, ease of functionalization, and great specific surface area. These features make it an intriguing electrode material with good electrochemical efficiency for high-storage batteries. Thus, this review summarizes current developments in MOFs-based materials as an elec

Global Stability of Harmful Phytoplankton and Herbivorous Zooplankton with Holling Type IV Functional Response
...Show More Authors

In this paper harmful phytoplankton and herbivorous zooplankton model with Hollimg type IV functional response is proposed and analyzed. The local stability analysis of the system is carried out. The global dynamics of the system is investigated with the help of the Lyapunov function. Finally, the analytical obtained results are supported with numerical simulation.

Dynamic Response and Reliability Analysis of Stochastic Multi-Story Frame Structures under Random Excitation

In earthquake engineering problems, uncertainty exists not only in the seismic excitations but also in the structure's parameters. This study investigates the influence of structural geometry, elastic modulus, mass density, and section dimension uncertainty on the stochastic earthquake response of a multi-story moment resisting frame subjected to random ground motion. The North-south component of the Ali Gharbi earthquake in 2012, Iraq, is selected as ground excitation. Using the power spectral density function (PSD), the two-dimensional finite element model of the moment resisting frame's base motion is modified to account for random ground motion. The probabilistic study of the moment resisting frame structure using stochastic fin

Enhanced optical response and photodetector performance of PANi/WO3 nanocomposites with controlled composition ratios
...Show More Authors

In recent years, polymeric nanomaterials have attracted much attention to the fields of optoelectronics and energy storage due to their unique properties. In this study, to improve limitations, such as moderate conductivity and limited stability of polyaniline (PANi), PANi /WO3 nanocomposites with different amounts of tungsten trioxide nanoparticles (2,5, 5 and 10 wt%) were synthesized and investigated. The samples were prepared using the rotation coating method and evaluated in structural tests (XRD, FTIR, FESEM), optical (UV-Visible, PL) and photosensitivity. The results showed that the presence of WO3 caused a gradual decrease in the energy band gap from 3.04 eV in pure PANi to 2.37 eV in the 10 wt% sample, which led to facilitating elec

The Effect of LED Light on Depth of Cure and Microhardness of Three Types of Bulkfill Composite
...Show More Authors

Background: To evaluate the ISO depth of cure of bulkfill composites and depth of cure which determined by Vickers microhardness test. Materials and Methods: Bulkfill resin composite specimens (n=150) were prepared of three bulkfill composite materials (TetricEvo Ceram, Quixfil and SDR) and light cured by Flash max p3 for 3, 10, 20 seconds and by wood pecker for 10, 20 seconds respectively, a mold was filled with one of the three bulkfill composites and light cured. The specimens removed from the mold and scraped by plastic spatula and the remaining length (absolute length) was measured which represent the ISO depth of cure. After that the specimens were returned into the mold and a microhardness indentation device applied on the specimen

Synthesis and Characterization of New Substituted Coumarin Derivatives and Study Their Biological Activity
...Show More Authors

New substituted coumarins derivatives were synthesized by using nitration reaction to produce different nitro coumarin isomers which were separated from these isomers by using different solvent, and the reduction of nitro compounds was done to give corresponding amino coumarins. Temperature and reaction time of reaction were very important factors in determining the most productive nitro isotopes. A low temperature for three hours was sufficient to give a high product of a compound 6-nitro coumarin while increasing the temperature for a period of twenty-four hours that gave a high product of 8-nitro-coumarin. The synthesized compounds were confirmed by FT-IR,1 H-NMR, and13 C-NMR spectroscopy and all final compounds were tested for their ant
