Fuzzy Maximal Sub-Modules

In this paper, we introduce and study the notions of fuzzy quotient module, fuzzy (simple, semisimple) module and fuzzy maximal submodule. Also, we give many basic properties about these notions.

A Specific NH3 Gas Sensor of a Thick MWCNTs-OH Network for Detection at Room Temperature

NH3 gas sensor was fabricated based on deposited of Functionalized Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs-OH) suspension on filter paper substrates using suspension filtration method. The structural, morphological and optical properties of the MWCNTs film were characterized by XRD, AFM and FTIR techniques. XRD measurement confirmed that the structure of MWCNTs is not affected by the preparation method. The AFM images reflected highly ordered network in the form of a mat. The functional groups and types of bonding have appeared in the FTIR spectra. The fingerprint (C-C stretch) of MWCNTs appears in 1365 cm-1, and the backbone of CNTs observed at 1645 cm-1. A homemade sensi

The Thermoelectrical Behavior of PEO Films Doped with MnCl2 Salt

The poly(ethylene oxide) polymer (PEO) is doped with fine powder of MnCl2 salt and thin films of thickness (50–150 mm) with salt content (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 wt%) are obtained. The AC electrical conductivity and dielectric constants are studied as a function of temperature through an impedance technique. It is found that AC conductivity increases and the calculated activation energy decreases with increasing temperature due to enhancement of the ionic conduction in the film bulk. The dielectric constants of the doped membranes increase with temperature. It is found that the peak value of the tanloss is shifted to a higher frequency at higher temperatures. The dielectric behavior is explained on the basis of

Preparation and Characterization of New Tetra-Dentate N2O2 Schiff Base with Some of Metal Ions Complexes

This study describes preparation a new series of tetra-dentate N2O2 dinuclear complexes Cr(III), Co(II)and Cu(II) of the Schiff base 2-[5-(2-hydroxy-phenyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylimino]-methyl-naphthalen-1-ol], (LH2) derived from 1-hydroxy-naphthalene-2-carbaldehyde with 2-amino-5-(2-hydroxy-phenyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole. These ligands were characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis, Mass spectra, elemental analysis, and 1H-NMR. All prepared complexes have been characterized by conductance measurement, magnetic susceptibility, electronic spectra, infrared spectrum, thermal Analysis (TGA), and metal analysis by atomic absorption. The stoichiometry of metal to ligand, magnetic susceptibility, and electronic spectra measurements show an octahedral geom

Recognition of Human Facial Expressions Using DCT-DWT and Artificial Neural Network

Facial expressions are a term that expresses a group of movements of the facial fore muscles that is related to one's own human emotions. Human–computer interaction (HCI) has been considered as one of the most attractive and fastest-growing fields. Adding emotional expression’s recognition to expect the users’ feelings and emotional state can drastically improves HCI. This paper aims to demonstrate the three most important facial expressions (happiness, sadness, and surprise). It contains three stages; first, the preprocessing stage was performed to enhance the facial images. Second, the feature extraction stage depended on Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) methods. Third, the recognition stage w

An Optimised Method for Fetching and Transforming Survey Data based on SQL and R Programming Language

The development of information systems in recent years has contributed to various methods of gathering information to evaluate IS performance. The most common approach used to collect information is called the survey system. This method, however, suffers one major drawback. The decision makers consume considerable time to transform data from survey sheets to analytical programs. As such, this paper proposes a method called ‘survey algorithm based on R programming language’ or SABR, for data transformation from the survey sheets inside R environments by treating the arrangement of data as a relational format. R and Relational data format provide excellent opportunity to manage and analyse the accumulated data. Moreover, a survey syste

Cuneiform Tablets Image Preprocessing Proposed Algorithms Techniques for Pattern Recognition

Cuneiform symbols recognition represents a complicated task in pattern recognition and image analysis as a result of problems that related to cuneiform symbols like distortion and unwanted objects that associated with applying Binrizetion process like spots and writing lines. This paper aims to present new proposed algorithms to solve these problems for reaching uniform results about cuneiform symbols recognition that related to (select appropriate Binerized method, erased writing lines and spots) based on statistical Skewness measure, image morphology and distance transform concepts. The experiment results show that our proposed algorithms have excellent result and can be adopted

Solar-Light-Driven Ag9(SiO4)2NO3 for Efficient Photocatalytic Bactericidal Performance

Photocatalytic materials are being investigated as effective bactericides due to their superior ability to inactivate a broad range of dangerous microbes. In this study, the following two types of bacteria were employed for bactericidal purposes: Gram-negative Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). The shape, crystal structure, element percentage, and optical properties of Ag9(SiO4)2NO3 were examined after it was successfully synthesized by a standard mixing and grinding processing route. Bactericidal efficiency was recorded at 100% by the following two types of light sources: solar and simulated light, with initial photocatalyst concentration of 2 µg/mL, and 97% and 95% of bactericidal acti

Efficient Algorithm for Solving Fuzzy Singularly Perturbed Volterra Integro-Differential Equation

In this paper, we design a fuzzy neural network to solve fuzzy singularly perturbed Volterra integro-differential equation by using a High Performance Training Algorithm such as the Levenberge-Marqaurdt (TrianLM) and the sigmoid function of the hidden units which is the hyperbolic tangent activation function. A fuzzy trial solution to fuzzy singularly perturbed Volterra integro-differential equation is written as a sum of two components. The first component meets the fuzzy requirements, however, it does not have any fuzzy adjustable parameters. The second component is a feed-forward fuzzy neural network with fuzzy adjustable parameters. The proposed method is compared with the analytical solutions. We find that the proposed meth
