tota l  of 194 catfish Silurus triostegus were collected from Garmat Ali river,    orth of Basrah city. Heavy infestation with Ergasilus ogawai was  recorded  on  the  gills  of  S.  triostegus  with  an  incidence  of infection approaching  98.9% while the average intensity of infection was 417. Sixteen sites of sediment were selected and distributed along Shatt Al-Arab River and the Iraqi marine environment. The samples were distributed among one station on Euphrates River before its confluence with Tigris River and Shatt Al-Arab formation, seven stations along Shatt Al-Arab River and eight stations were selected from the Iraqi marine region. In this research, titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO₂ NPs) were prepared through the sol-gel process at an acidic medium (pH3).TiO₂ nanoparticles were prepared from titanium trichloride (TiCl₃) as a precursor with Ammonium hydroxide (NH₄OH) with 1:3 ratio at 50 °C.
