This study analyzes the stylistic features of euphemisms in feminist discourse, based on material from the contemporary Russian press of the period (2015–2025). The central issue lies in how the linguistic devices used to soften the harshness and confrontation in discourse contribute to shaping a distinct feminine communicative style within media discourse, where the context necessitates combining the expression of the author\\'s position with maintaining a harmonious interaction with the wider audience. This study aims to uncover and classify the stylistic mechanisms of euphemism at the lexical-grammatical, syntactic, and pragmatic levels, as well as to determine its role in constructing gendered linguistic behavior. The research findings revealed that women\\'s journalistic discourse is characterized by the prevalence of strategies oriented towards linguistic refinement, empathy, and dialogism. This is evident in the frequent use of input indicators that suggest ambiguity and uncertainty, particles of emotional affinity, euphemisms, interrogative and conditional structures, balanced agreement formulas, and expressions of solidarity and collective identity. These devices not only reduce the potential threat to the recipient\\'s \\"image\\" but also contribute to building a communicative tone based on trust, emotional engagement, and the formation of a positive image of the writer. The study\\'s results indicate the growing socio-organizational function of euphemisms in media discourse as an indicator of women\\'s communicative style, reflecting cultural expectations associated with tact and harmony in interpersonal relationships. The importance of this research lies in providing a comprehensive description of the pragmatic and figurative effects of euphemisms in contemporary women\\'s journalistic discourse in recent years, thus enabling a deeper understanding of the dynamics of gender-related stylistics in modern public communication.
This study explores the language used in reporting political headlines conducting a rhetorical stylistic analysis. There is confusion between the concept of honesty and credibility arguing that their meaning is the same. ‘Credibility; is derived from the truth which means evidence of honesty, while ‘honesty’ means not lying and matching reality. The study of credibility begins globally at the end of the fifties of the second millennium to see the decline and refrain from reading newspapers, while it was studied in the Arab world in 1987. This study explores the semiotic aspects of American slang, specifically focusing on the phenomenon of reduplicative expressions in informal speech. Despite the extensive research on American slang, limited attention has been given to the cultural and mythical meanings embedded within reduplicative expressions. To address this gap, the study investigates how these expressions convey denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings within casual American discourse. The objectives of the study include: 1. To what extent does Barthes’ semiotic model hold potential for application in this study? 2. How are reduplicative slang expressions widely used in everyday American life? 3. In his masterpiece ’The Prophet’, Kahlil Gibran presents his unwavering faith and passionate belief in the healing power of universal love that brings humans to sublime ideas and elevates their souls and behavior. The current study aims to find out the stylistic devices utilized to represent the concept of love based on the hypothesis that Gibran tends to use certain stylistic effects to convey his meaning. The study adopts Leech and Short’s (2007) framework of stylistic analysis to analyze the lexical items and figures of speech in selected extracts from the book. The findings reveal that Gibran prefers concrete nouns, dynamic verbs, and physical adjectives over abstract nouns, stative verbs, and psychological adjectives to s
