Magnetohydrodynamic natural convection in an inclined porous cylinder saturated with nanofluid
...Show More Authors

The use of nanofluids in combination with magnetic fields has a wide range of applications in many fields, including cooling systems, microelectromechanical systems, medical systems, solar collectors, heat exchangers, and lubrication technologies. The magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) free convection in an inclined porous cylinder field with nanofluid was simulated numerically in this study. The heat was generated uniformly through the cylinder, and the horizontal walls were thermally insulated while the lateral wall remained at constant cold temperature. Vorticity transport and energy equations were used as the governing equations. A MATLAB code was developed to solve these equations after transforming them into algebraic equations using the finite difference approach. In this article, the range of the governing parameters considered were Rayleigh number 100≤Ra≤10000 and MHD parameter 0≤Mn≤2, inclination angle 0°≤λ≤90°, while the geometry aspect ratio was A=1 and nanoparticle volume fraction of Al2O3 was 2%. The strength of circulation decreased significantly as the MHD parameter rose. Increasing the MHD parameter led to decrease in velocity, stream function, and local and mean Nusselt numbers, while the temperature increased. Whereas Nusselt number decreased by 45.6% when MHD parameter increased from 0 to 2. The inclination angle had a positive effect up to λ = 45º where the Nusselt number enhanced by 26% when inclination angle increased from 0º to 45º at Ra = 10000 in the absence of MHD. Increasing the Rayleigh number caused a reduction in the temperature and an increase in stream function values and mean Nusselt number, and for a high Rayleigh number, the warm region was adjacent to the upper wall. Nusselt number enhanced with increase in Ra where it increased by 667% when Ra increased from 100 to 10000 at λ = 45º in the absence of MHD.

Impact of Porous Media on Peristaltic Transport of Tangent Hyperbolic Nanofluid in Asymmetric Channel
...Show More Authors

The purpose behind this paper is to discuss nanoparticles effect, porous media, radiation and heat source/sink parameter on hyperbolic tangent nanofluid of peristaltic flow in a channel type that is asymmetric. Under a long wavelength and the approaches of low Reynolds number, the governing nanofluid equations are first formulated and then simplified. Associated nonlinear differential equations will be obtained after making these approximations. Then the concentration of nanoparticle exact solution, temperature distribution, stream function, and pressure gradient will be calculated. Eventually, the obtained results will be illustrated graphically via MATHEMATICA software.

THE EFFECT OF SPACE VOLUME ON FREE CONVECTION HEAT TRANSFER FOR ONGITUDINAL FINNED CYLINDER WITH DIFFERENT SLOPE NGLES
...Show More Authors

This study deals with free convection heat transfer for the outer surface of two
cylinders of the shape of (Triangular & Rectangular fined cylinders with 8-fins),
putted into two different spaces; small one with dimension of (Length=1.2m,
height=1m, width=0.9m) and large one with dimension of (Length=3.6m, height =3m,
width=2.7m). The experimental work was conducted with air as a heat transport
medium. These cylinders were fixed at different slope angles (0o, 30o, 60o and 90o)
.The heat fluxes were (279, 1012, 1958, 3005, 4419) W/m2, where heat transferred by
convection and radiation. In large space, the results show that the heat transfer from
the triangular finned cylinder is maximum at a slope angle equals

Natural Convection in Annulus Between Two Concentric Cylinders Partially Filled with Metal Foam Distributed with New Suggested Design
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>The investigation of natural convection in an annular space between two concentric cylinders partially filled with metal foam is introduced numerically. The metal foam is inserted with a new suggested design that includes the distribution of metal foam in the annular space, not only in the redial direction, but also with the angular direction. Temperatures of inner and outer cylinders are maintained at constant value in which inner cylinder temperature is higher than the outer one. Naiver Stokes equation with Boussinesq approximation is used for fluid regime while Brinkman-Forchheimer Darcy model used for metal foam. In addition, the local thermal equilibrium condition in the energy e</p> ... Show More

Laminar Forced Convection of Dusty Air through Porous Media in a Vertical Annulus
...Show More Authors

An experimental and numerical study has been carried out to investigate the forced convection heat transfer by clean or dusty air in a two dimensional annulus enclosure filled with porous media (glass beads) between two vertical concentric cylinders. The outer cylinder is of (82 mm) outside diameters and the inner cylinder of (27 mm) outside diameter. Under steady state condition; the inner cylinder surface is maintained at a high temperature by applying a uniform heat flux and the outer cylinder surface at an ambient temperature. The investigation covered values of input power of (6.3, 4.884, 4.04 and 3.26 W), Reynolds number values of (300, 700, 1000, 1500, and 2000) and dust ratio values (density number N) of (2, 4, 6 and 8). Computational Analysis of Turbulent Natural Convection in Water Filled Tall Enclosure
...Show More Authors

In this study, the turbulent buoyancy driven fluid flow and heat transfer in a differentially heated rectangular enclosure filled with water is quantified numerically. The two dimensional governing differential equations are discretized using the finite volume method. SIMPLE algorithm is employed to obtain stabilized solution for high Rayleigh numbers by a computational code written in FORTRAN language. A parametric study is undertaken and the effect of Rayleigh numbers (1010 to 1014), the aspect ratio (30, 40 and 50), and the tilt angle (10o to 170o ) on fluid flow and heat transfer are investigated. The results of the adopted model in the present work is compared with previously published results and a qualitative agreement and a good

Bifurcation and Stability Analysis of Stagnation Point for Fluid Flow in an Inclined Channel with Inclined Magnetic Field for Peristaltic Transport
...Show More Authors

Streamlined peristaltic transport patterns, bifurcations of equilibrium points, and effects of an inclined magnetic field and channel are shown in this study. The incompressible fluid has been the subject of the model's investigation. The Reynolds values for evanescence and an infinite wavelength are used to constrain the flow while it is being studied in a slanted channel with a slanted magnetic field. The topologies over their domestic and cosmopolitan bifurcations are investigated for the outcomes, and notion of the dynamical system are employed. The Mathematica software is used to solve the nonlinear autonomous system. The flow is found to have three different flow distributions namely augmented, trapping and backward flow. Outc

mesh for computational plane. A computer program (Fortran 90) was built to calculate
the bulk Nusselt number (Nub) after reaching steady state con
