Denture cleansing is an essential step that can stop cross‑contamination and adds to the health of the patient, denture durability, and the general quality of life. A disinfection technique must be practical and devoid of damaging effects on the material's properties used to construct the denture base. The main aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of three concentrations of electrolyzed water denture cleanser on heat cure acrylic and polyamide after immersion in electrolyzed water. The evaluation is based on their efficacy on surface hardness, wettability, and color stability compared with one submerged in distilled water as a control group. The method consists of eighty samples of heat-cured acrylic and polyamide material. The samples were immersed in electrolyzed water at a concentration of (100-200ppm) and in distilled water for 5 minutes, 30 times, and daily for 12 days to simulate a one-year interval. The tests showed that the surface hardness and color stability were maintained, with no significant difference between the control and experimental groups. In comparison, the result of wettability showed a statistically significant difference between the control and experimental groups. Thus, electrolyzed water does not affect the surface hardness and color stability of heat-cure acrylic and polyamide denture base materials. However, the wettability of these materials was significantly increased. Keywords: Electrolyzed water; Heat cure acrylic; Polyamide material
The aim of this work is to shed light on the importance of medicinal plants, especially those that have extracts that have a direct effect on human health. The study and identification of botany is necessary because human life has become closely linked to the life of plants as food. In addition to using plants as food, primitive man did not stop at this point, but rather developed their use to hunt prey and also used toxic plant materials in wars. With the passage of time, the ancient man was able to link the wild plants that cover the surface of the earth and the diseases that afflict him, so he used these plants or Parts of it are for treatment. A medicinal plant is defined as one or more of its parts that contain one or more chemicals in

Contaminate the tap water with different pollutants has become an issue of great concern for 90% of people who are depended on the tap water as the main source of drinking. Pollutants can make their way easily into the delivering pipes which suffer from the leaking resulting in decreasing the quality of water. Objective: Therefore, assess the water quality for drinking purpose by calculating the water quality index is an important tool to ascertain whether the water is suitable for human consumption or not. Methods: In the present work, the water quality of the Al-Salam, western region of Baghdad city, Iraq was investigated for 7

The indications for upper G I endoscopy might decrease the negative results of endoscopies. Objective: To follow strict indications for Esophago Gastro Duodenoscopy in order to decrease the negative endoscopy results. Methods: One thousand eight hundred and ninety cases were subjected to EGD from Feb. 1999 to Feb 2009 at Alkindy Teaching Hospital and Abd-Al-Majeed private hospital in Baghdad, Iraq. It is known that in a duo module, every submodule is fully invariant. This paper used the class of St-closed submodules to work out a module with the feature that all St-closed submodules are fully invariant. Such a module is called an Stc-duo module. This class of modules contains the duo module properly as well as the CL-duo module which was introduced by Ahmed MA. The behaviour of this new kind of module was considered and studied in detail, for instance, the hereditary property of the St-duo module was investigated, as the result; under certain conditions, every St-cl

Materials and methods: Thirty oligozoospermic semen samples were used in this study. Samples diagnosed according to WHO 2010 criteria. Sheep’s ovarian follicles obtained from local slaughterhouse and prepared by slicing the ovaries and evacuating the follicular fluid and oocyte. Each semen sample divided into six equal parts, and diluted 1:1 with cryosolution contains 5%, 10%, 15% DMSO or glycerol and injected within the emptied follicles. After freezing and thawing, the semen mixture aspired outside the follicles and sperm concentr
