Histopathological of effect of zinc on liver architecture of mice, Mus musculus
...Show More Authors

The current study was conducted to find out the effect of zinc (Zn) on the liver tissue of adult male white mouse, Mus musculus at concentrations (50 and 100 mg/kg/day) and for (30) days.(30) mice were used, divided into three groups of (10) mice, represented by control group, group of (50) mg/kg/day and (100) mg/kg/day. Histopathological changes appeared in the liver of male mice treated with zinc in concentration (50 and 100 mg/kg/day) for 30 days, including deformation and damage to Glisson's capsule, epithelial separation of capsule, in addition to cellular changes represented by hypertrophy of hepatocytes, as seen a swelling necrosis, hypertrophy of nuclei, thickening and degeneration in some hepatocytes, as well as the observed scatter of hepatocytes, and the increasing size and number of Kupffer cells as well as the expansion of sinusoids, as seen hyperplasia of Bile duct cells.

The Role of Communication Methods in Changing the Values of the Urban Family
...Show More Authors

This article discusses the change of values in urban family, because of various communication media and modern technologies as one of the most important factors affecting the changing family values in urban areas, this means becoming part of urban life. And focuses on the family in urban areas, for the privacy of the social, economic, demographic and cultural help to this effect, and because cities are the most friction and interaction with modern technologies.

Solvability of (λ, μ)-Commuting Operator Equations for Bounded Generalization of Hyponormal Operators
...Show More Authors

Recently, new generalizations have been presented for the hyponormal operators, which are (N, k)-hyponormal operators and (h, M)-hyponormal operators. Some properties of these concepts have also been proved, one of these properties is that the product of two (N, k)-hyponormal operator is also (N, k)- hyponormal operator and the product of two (h, M)-hyponormal operators is (h, M)-hyponormal operator. In our research, we will reprove these properties by using the (l,m)-commuting operator equations, in addition to that we will solve the (l, m)-commuting operator equations for (N, k)-hyponormal operators and (h, M)-hyponormal operators.

Control of Propagation of Salt Wedge by using Roughness Blocks having Different Inclination
...Show More Authors

The hydraulic conditions of a flow previously proved to be changed when placing large-scale geometric roughness elements on the bed of an open channel. These elements impose more resistance to the flow.  The geometry of the roughness elements, the numbers used, and the configuration are parameters that can affect the hydraulic flow characteristics. The target is to use inclined block elements to control the salt wedge propagation pointed in most estuaries to prevent its negative effects. The Computational Fluid Dynamics CFD Software was used to simulate the two-phase flow in an estuary model. In this model, the used block elements are 2 cm by 3 cm cross-sections with an inclined face in the flow direction, with a length

A comparative anatomic study of leaves of the genus Stachys L. in Iraq
...Show More Authors

The anatomic characteristics of the leaves of 22 taxa of Stachys L. representing seven of the currently recognized sections distributed in northern Iraq, were examined. The study did not found any variations in the characteristics of the stomata system of the leaves.Therewere variations with a good taxonomic value in other anatomic characteristics.Thevariations in characters of the mesophyll tissue in S.kurdica var.brevidens Bom ex Bhattacharjeewas bifacial but in S.kurdica var.kurdica Boiss. & Hohen.was unifacial .The study also found that the taxa S.benthamiana Bioss., S.lanigera (Bornm.) Rech.f. andS.kotscyi Bioss. with 3 vascular bundles in the middle vein while the taxa S.ballotiformis Vatke., S.megalodonta Hausskn. &Bornm.exP.H.Davis

A Study of Synthesis and Characterization of New Aromatic Poly(amide-imide)s
...Show More Authors

New thermally stable aromatic poly(amide-imide)s ( PAI1- PAI4 ) were synthesized from direct polycondensation reaction of Terephthalic acid and Phthalic acid with two new different diamine monomers derivatives of 1,2,4,5-tetracarboxilic benzene dianhydride as a second diacides in a medium consisting of triphenyl phosphite (TPP) in N-methyl-2pyrrolidone (NMP) / pyridine solution containing dissolved calcium chloride CaCl2. The polymerization reaction produced a series of novel poly(amide-imide) in high yield. The new monomers were characterized by FTIR, 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The resulting polymers were typically characterized by means of FT-IR, 1H-NMR spectroscopy, and solubility tests. Thermal properties of the poly(amide-imide)s were als

A Simulation of Core Displacement Experiments for the Determination of the Relative Permeability
...Show More Authors

Computations of the relative permeability curves were made through their representation by two functions for wetting and nonwetting phases. Each function contains one parameter that controls the shape of the relative permeability curves. The values of these parameters are chosen to minimize an objective function, that is represented as a weighted sum of the squared differences between experimentally measured data and the corresponding data calculated by a mathematical model simulating the experiment. These data comprise the pressure drop across core samples and the recovery response of the displacing phase. Two mathematical models are constructed in this study to simulate incompressible, one-dimensional, two-phase flow. The first model d

Estimates of Coefficient for Certain Subclasses of k-Fold Symmetric Bi-Univalent Functions
...Show More Authors

In the present paper, the authors introduce and investigates two new subclasses and,  of the class k-fold bi-univalent functions in the open unit disk. The initial coefficients for all of the functions that belong to them were determined, as well as the coefficients for functions that belong to a field determining these coefficients requires a complicated process. The bounds for the initial coefficients and are contained among the remaining results in our analysis are obtained. In addition, some specific special improver results for the related classes are provided.

Seismic Interpretation for Hydrocarbon Traps Detection of Warka-Zakura Area South of Iraq
...Show More Authors

This research represents a reflection seismic study (structural and stratigraphic) for a (852) km2 area located in the south of Iraq within the administrative border of the province of Al-Muthanna and Qadisiyah province ,by using 2-D seismic data from Oil Exploration company three main seismic reflectors are picked, these are (Zubair and Yamama) Formations which they deposited during the Cretaceous age , and (Gotnia) Formation which deposited during Jurassic age .Structural maps of Formations are prepared to obtain the location and direction of the sedimentary basin and shoreline ,time, velocity and depth maps are drawn depending on the structural interpretation of the picked reflectors and show several structural feature as nose structu

Identification and Purification of Cholera Like Toxin from Environmental Isolate of Vibrio cholerae
...Show More Authors

The presence and prevalence of V. cholerae were investigated in forty five water samples collected from different locations of Tiger River/ Baghdad city. Twenty one isolates were isolated by adopting a simple isolation techniques. The final identification revealed that only three isolates were confirmed as V. cholerae. They were named 1J, 1R and Dial 131 which are all serogrouped as non-O1. Toxin Coregulated Pili (TCP) and heat labile enterotoxin (LT) were determined in only the environmental isolate 1J while non of the isolates produced heat stabile toxin (ST). The purification scheme was improved, few steps were adopted to include back extraction of ammonium sulfate, saturation between 80-20%, desalting through Sephadex G25, and gel filt
