Background:Sun protection is one of the most important steps of skin care as it is necessary to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays that is known to cause number of harmful effects on the skin in long and frequent exposure. Objective:To assess the awareness of the medical students regarding sun exposure and its harm,study their sun protection attitudes,practices, their use of sunscreens, and to know if they can share information to other people to encourage such important protective methods and behaviours which are not well established in our community.Patients and method:This cross-sectional descriptive study included 300 students both females and males of fourth and fifth grade of College of Medicine in university of Baghdad.Results:Most students are aware about the risks of harmful unprotected sun exposure, however not all of them follow the sun protection methods. About one third of the sample use sunscreen regularly. Thereare93% of females use sunscreen while only 25% of males do. Most of the sample who apply sunscreen do not care about reapplying it.The knowledgeabout types, active ingredients, proper use of sunscreen should be improved because most of users do not have enough information.Most of students in our sample areready to give advice to people to use methods of photoprotection including sunscreen to encourage them to protect their skin. Conclusion: Most of students know that sun exposure is harmful, and they are aware of its risks. They know that sun protection including the use of sunscreen is necessary especially in our sunny country. Medical students need to be more aware about other methods of sun protection that may be more important than sunscreen.

The fabrication of Solid and Hollow silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) has been achieved and their characterization was performed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), zeta potential, UV–VIS spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction (XRD). A TEM image revealed a quasispherical form for both Solid and Hollow Ag NPs. The measurement of surface charge revealed that although Hollow Ag NPs have a zeta potential of -43 mV, Solid Ag NPs have a zeta potential of -33 mV. According to UV-VIS spectroscopy measurement Solid and Hollow Ag NPs both showed absorption peaks at wavelengths of 436 nm and 412 nm, respectively. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of rowatinex and tamsulosin in the treatment of patients with ureteric stone.
Forty patients with ureteric stone ranged (4- 12) mm, were included in this study. They were randomized into two groups where the first group includes twenty patients treated with Rowatinex three times daily (Group 1), and the second group includes twenty patients treated with tamsulosin 0.4mg/day (Group 2). ... Show MoreThe objective of the current research is to identify the degree of awareness of the teachers of Arabic language with the requirements of sustainable development. The research sample consisted of (100) male and female teachers of the Arabic language. A 3-likert scale of (71) items grouped into practical and cognitive aspects, five trends for each aspect was designed by the researcher to explore the required data. The results showed that the level of awareness of teachers of the Arabic language was moderate of both the cognitive and practical aspects of sustainable education with means (1.69) and (1.48) respectively. The researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions.
This study aims to find out the effect of the mediator on scaffolding fourth yearstudent- teachers' teaching competencies and their self-efficacy. The present study combines scaffolding and self-efficacy by using a mediator on scaffolding students affects teaching competencies and selfefficacy and from the results of which the existence of student-teachers’ selfawareness was ensured as an effect of the same independent variable. The model affects their teaching competencies and led them to be aware of the needs of their pupils and themselves.
