A simple, accurate and rapid method for separation and determination of most commonly usedinsecticides in Iraq [thiamethoxam (Thi), imidacloprid (Imi), indoxacarb (Ind), and abamectin (Aba)] ispresented. The separation was performed by gradient reversed-phase high performance liquidchromatography on a C18 stationary phase column. The method was developed and validated. The-1mobile phase was a mixture of acetonitrile and water using gradient flow. The flow rate was 1.0 mL min .The optimum temperature of separation was 25 ºC. The detection was performed at multiple wavelengths.The analysis time was up to 10.5 minutes with retention times of 3.221, 3.854, 6.385, and 9.452 min for-1the studied insecticides. The linearity was in the range of 0.1-200 μg mL . The proposed method wasapplied for the quantitative determination of these insecticides in their pure form and in differentcommercial formulations with little interference of additives

A high settlement may take place in shallow footing when resting on liquefiable soil if subjected to earthquake loading. In this study, a series of shaking table tests were carried out for shallow footing resting on sand soil. The input motion is three earthquake loadings (0.05g, 0.1g, and 0.2g). The study includes a reviewing of theoretical equations (available in literatures), which estimating settlement of footings due to earthquake loading, calibration, and verification of these equations with data from the shaking table test for improved soil by grouting and unimproved soil. The present study investigated the total content of phenolic compounds, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of water extracts oat (Avena sativa) and basil (Ocimum basilicum), medicinal plants. The Folin-ciocalteu reagent assay was used to estimate the total phenolic content of plants extract. This paper investigated the fatigue life behavior of two composite materials subjected to different times of shot peening (2, 4 and 6 min).The first material prepared from unsaturated polyester with E-glass reinforcement by 33% volume fraction. While, the second one was prepared from unsaturated polyester with aluminum powder by2.5% volume fraction.
