Comparative Biomechanical Analysis of Three-Point Shooting Between Elite Iraqi Basketball Players and International Counterparts
...Show More Authors

Objective This study aimed to compare the biomechanics of three-point shooting between elite Iraqi basketball players and international players, in order to identify key biomechanical differences that may impact shooting performance. Methods A total of 80 male basketball players participated in the study (40 elite Iraqi players and 40 international elite players). Kinematic data were collected using advanced motion analysis systems, force plates, and high-speed video analysis. The measured variables included joint angles, angular velocity, release speed, ball release angle, and ground reaction forces during three-point shooting. Each player performed 20 consecutive shots under controlled conditions. Group comparisons were conducted using statistical analysis. Results Significant differences in biomechanical parameters were found between the groups. Iraqi players exhibited lower knee and hip angles at release, reduced shoulder angular velocity, and slower ball release speed. Consequently, their effective shooting percentage was notably lower (58.5%) compared to the international group (70.2%). Ground reaction forces were also reduced among the Iraqi players, indicating possible deficits in lower limb strength and power. Conclusion Biomechanical limitations in joint angles, release velocity, and ground reaction forces appear to contribute to the reduced shooting accuracy observed in Iraqi players. Targeted strength and conditioning programs, combined with biomechanical feedback technologies, are recommended to improve performance and reduce the gap between Iraqi and international players.

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the level of partnership between school and community agencies to improve secondary school outcomes for students with intellectual disabilities and develop strategies that help enhance community partnerships between schools and agencies. The researcher used the qualitative research approach; he utilized the interviews as a tool for data collection. The sample of research included (12) participants: three female school leaders, three male-school leaders, three female-school supervisors, and three male-school supervisors in schools that have programs for students with intellectual disabilities in Riyadh. The results of the study showed that the level of partnership bet

Background: Visfatin is a novel adipokine that mainly secreted by visceral adipose tissue, had an important role in inflammation and immune system. Creatine Kinase (CK) which is an enzyme that is involved in energy metabolism, found in large amounts in myocardium, brain and skeletal tissues. This study is carried out To evaluate the periodontal health status of the study groups (chronic periodontitis and chronic periodontitis with coronary atherosclerosis) and control groups, to measure the salivary levels of visfatin and Creatine Kinase in these groups and compare between them, and to determine the correlations between salivary visfatin and Creatine Kinase levels with the periodontal parameters in the three groups. The issue of auditing contracts according to the related services is one of the important topics It has also become necessary to develop traditional procedures and auditing according to international standards to improve the profession of accounting and auditing. From this standpoint, the research aims to indicate the reflection of the contracting audit in accordance with the related services on the auditor's report. in line with the new directions regarding the need to adopt international standards in the Iraqi environment as the research problem focused on the non-comprehensiveness of the audit programs that deal with auditing contracts according to assurance commitments to contribute obtaining Governing evidence, The research

Bioavailability of Bilastine Oral Self-nanoemulsion: Comparative Study with Commercial Formula in Rats
...Show More Authors

Bilastine (BL) is a novel non-sedating second-generation antihistamine, and its bioavailability is about 60%. Objective: To compare the bioavailability of prepared oral self-nanoemulsions of BL (BL-SNE) with that of pure BL and marketed tablets. Methods: Four groups of Wistar rats were used in this study, each with six rats weighing between 200 and 250 g. They were treated orally using a a gavage tube. The groups were fed either with conventional tablets ("Alerbix®") after being ground and dispersed with deionized water (DIW), treated with BL-SNE or fed with pure BL powder suspension. The fourth group did not receive any medication. The concentration of BL in the rat’s plasma was measured using HPLC. We used Trandolapril as an an interna

A Comparative Study of Various Intelligent Algorithms based Path Planning for Mobile Robots
...Show More Authors

In general, path-planning problem is one of most important task in the field of robotics. This paper describes the path-planning problem of mobile robot based on various metaheuristic algorithms. The suitable collision free path of a robot must satisfies certain optimization criteria such as feasibility, minimum path length, safety and smoothness and so on. In this research, various three approaches namely, PSO, Firefly and proposed hybrid FFCPSO are applied in static, known environment to solve the global path-planning problem in three cases. The first case used single mobile robot, the second case used three independent mobile robots and the third case applied three follow up mobile robot.  Simulation results, whi

Effect of tempering on thermal analysis of Al-Ti-Si alloy and its composites
...Show More Authors

The investigation of the effect of tempering on thermal analysis of
Al-Ti-Si alloy and its composites with MgO and SiC particles was
performed. Thermal analysis was performed before and after
tempering by DSC scan. Optical microscopy was used to identify the
phases and precipitations that may be formed in base alloy and
composites. X-ray diffraction test indicated that the Al3Ti is the main
phase in Al-Ti-Si alloy in addition to form Al5Ti7Si12 phase. Some
chemical reactions can be occurred between reinforcements and
matrix such as MgO.Al2O3 in Al-Ti/MgO, and Al4C3 and Al(OH)3 in
Al-Ti/SiC composite. X-ray florescence technique is used to
investigate the chemical composition of the fabricated specimens.
