Relationship between Toxoplasma gondii Antibodies and Blood Group in University Students

Background: Toxoplasma gondiiis an obligate intracellular protozoan that may infect nearly all warm-blooded animals, including humans. T gondiiis thought to infect one-third of the human population.The symptoms depending on the adequacy of the immune antiparasitic response. In humans, the main source of infection is through contact with the feces of infected cats, the final host in which the T. gondii completes its life cycle. Other source of infection occurs when drinking raw milk, ingestion of contaminated meat. Aim: This descriptive study estimated the seroprevalence and risk variables for Toxoplasma gondii infection forundergraduate students of a college of Pharmacy who were studying at University of Baghdad. The frequency rate ofToxoplasma was 23.8% for IgG and 5.97% for IgM antibodies. The frequency of the parasite 804-3811in male were higher than female, but with non-significant difference (P-value was greater than 0.05). The differences between the Toxoplasmosis infection and the contact with an animal were also not statistically significant. The only variable that had a positive association with seropositive T. gondii was the blood group; the association considered significance with level > 0.05.Attention is better to be taken to this important part of the community to grantee a healthy offspring capable of building the country.

Applications of Affine Systems of Walsh Type to Generate Smooth Basis

The question on affine Riesz basis of Walsh affine systems is considered. An affine Riesz basis is constructed, generated by a continuous periodic function that belongs to the space on the real line, which has a derivative almost everywhere; in connection with the construction of this example, we note that the functions of the classical Walsh system suffer a discontinuity and their derivatives almost vanish everywhere. A method of regularization (improvement of differential properties) of the generating function of Walsh affine system is proposed, and a criterion for an affine Riesz basis for a regularized generating function that can be represented as a sum of a series in the Rademacher system is obtained.

A Numerical Study for Solving the Systems of Fuzzy Fredholm Integral Equations of the Second Kind Using the Adomian Decomposition Method

     In this paper, the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) is successfully applied to find the approximate solutions for the system of fuzzy Fredholm integral equations (SFFIEs) and we also study the convergence of the technique. A consistent way to reduce the size of the computation is given to reach the exact solution. One of the best methods adopted to determine the behavior of the approximate solutions. Finally, the problems that have been addressed confirm the validity of the method  applied in this research using a comparison by combining numerical methods such as the Trapezoidal rule and Simpson rule with ADM.
