The aim: to evaluate combined microscopy techniques for determining the morphological and optical properties of methadone hydrochloride (MDN) crystals. Materials and methods: MDN crystal formation was optimized using a closed container method and crystals were characterized using polarized light microscope (PLM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and confocal microscopy (CM). SEM and CM were used to determine MDN crystal thickness and study its relationship with crystal retardation colours using the Michel-Levy Birefringence approach.  The power factors and electronic thermal conductivities in bismuth telluride (Bi2Te3), lead-telluride (PbTe), and gallium arsenide (GaAs) at room temperature (300K) quantum wires and quantum wells are theoretically investigated. Our formalism rigorously takes into account modification of these power factors and electronic thermal conductivities in free-surface wires and wells due to spatial confinement. From our numerical results, we predict a significant increase of the power factor in quantum wires with diameter w=20 Ã…. The increase is always stronger in quantum wires than in quantum wells of the corresponding dimensions. The study aims at identifying the morphological and psycho-socio-economic qualities wished to be in a life partner among a sample of Palestinian youth. The total sample was (231) and consisted of  (83) male and (148) female students. Each student presented a detailed report on the qualities he/she wished to be in life partner. The study used the descriptive approach and content analysis method. The validity and stability of the analysis were calculated. The results showed eight qualities in both groups: physical, psychological, emotional, social, intellectual, familial, economic and academic.
