In this research, two drugs were bonded through amide and ester attachment, using lactic acid as aspacer binder, produced di pro drug such as Procain and Ciprofloxacin. Since Procain has ailocail anesthetic action and Ciprofloxacin as antibacterial drug was reacted with lactic acid produced ester compound (1), then the carboxylic acid of lactic acid could reacted with free Procain oil produced amide attachment, the controlled drug release in different pH values at 37C˚was studied to improve their characteristic and to minimize the side effect of the drug could be used in broad spectrum activity as atherapeutic material. This mutual prodrug was used with another biological active drug instead of single action. The prepared prodrug was characterized by FTIR, 1HNMR ,and UV. spectroscopies ,physical properties were determined and physical properties weremeasured. The biological assay were conducted for prepared prodrug using the microorganism such as E.coli, staphylococcus aureus, pseudomonas acuroginosoma, the prepared prodrug appear high biological activity, compared with standardGentamycin.
By unusual method for separating two isomers of a substituted nitro-coumarin using a soxhlet extractor and in controlling temperature to get a selective nitration reaction, several new Schiff base coumarins were synthesized from nitro coumarins as starting material, which were reduced by Fe in glacial acetic acid to produce corresponding amino coumarin derivatives. Then the latter was reacted with different aromatic aldehydes to produce the desired Schiff bases derivatives. After characterization by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1HNMR) and Carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance (C-NMR), all these compounds were evaluated as potential Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Agents.
6-Amino-4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-5-cyano-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1, 4-dihydropyrano [2,3-c] pyrazole (compound 2) was prepared by condensation of 2-(4-hydroxylbenzylidine) malononitrile (compound 1) [which was prepared by Knoevenagel condensation of malononitrile with 4-hydroxy benzaldehyde ] with 3-methyl-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one. Reactions of compound 2 with different reagents formic acid, formamide, and ammonium thiocyanate under microwave irradiation leads to the synthesis of 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)- 3-methyl-1-phenyl-4,6-dihydro- pyrazolo [3', 4':5,6] pyrano [2,3-d] pyrimidine-5-one (compound 3), 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)- 3-methyl-1-phenyl-4, 6-dihydro- pyrazolo [3', 4':5,6]pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine-5-imine (compound 4) and N-[4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)- 3-me
... Show MoreThe current work involves synthesis of 6-amino-4-(4-hydroxyl-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1,4- dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole-5-carbonitrile (2) by condensation of 2-(4-hydroxyl-3-methoxybenzylidine) malononitrile (1) with 3-methyl-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one. The product 2 was then reacted with various aldehydes to form a series of Schiff base derivatives 3a-h. The reaction of the chosen Schiff base derivatives (3a and 3b) with mercaptoacetic acid gave thiazolidinone derivatives (4a and 4b). The structures of prepared compounds were confirmed using FT-IR, 1H NMR, and 13

Materials and Methods: The utilization of sulfonamide as zinc binding group joined by N-alkylation reaction with ethyl-bromo hexanoate as linker group that joined by amide reaction with Isatin derivatives as cap groups which known to possess antitumor activity in the designed of new histone deacetylase inhibitors and using the docking and MTT assay to evaluate the compounds. Results: Four compounds have been synthesized and characterized successfully by ART-FTIR, NMR and ESI-Ms. the compounds w
... Show MoreA simple analytical method was used in the present work for the simultaneous quantification of Ciprofloxacin and Isoniazid in pharmaceutical preparations. UV-Visible spectrophotometry has been applied to quantify these compounds in pure and mixture solutions using the first-order derivative method. The method depends on the first derivative spectrophotometry using zero-cross, peak to baseline, peak to peak and peak area measurements. Good linearity was shown in the concentration range of 2 to 24 μg∙mL-1 for Ciprofloxacin and 2 to 22 μg∙mL-1 for Isoniazid in the mixture, and the correlation coefficients were 0.9990 and 0.9989 respectively using peak area mode. The limits of detection (LOD) and limits of quantification (LOQ) wer
