The Prediction of COVID 19 Disease Using Feature Selection Techniques
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>COVID 19 has spread rapidly around the world due to the lack of a suitable vaccine; therefore the early prediction of those infected with this virus is extremely important attempting to control it by quarantining the infected people and giving them possible medical attention to limit its spread. This work suggests a model for predicting the COVID 19 virus using feature selection techniques. The proposed model consists of three stages which include the preprocessing stage, the features selection stage, and the classification stage. This work uses a data set consists of 8571 records, with forty features for patients from different countries. Two feature selection techniques are used in order to select the best features that affect the prediction of the proposed model. These are the Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) as wrapper feature selection and the Extra Tree Classifier (ETC) as embedded feature selection. Two classification methods are applied for classifying the features vectors which include the Naïve Bayesian method and Restricted Boltzmann Machine (RBM) method. The results were 56.181%, 97.906% respectively when classifying all features and 66.329%, 99.924% respectively when classifying the best ten features using features selection techniques.</p>

Clinical management and infection control protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic: An online survey
...Show More Authors

BACKGROUND: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) is considered a highly infectious and life threatening disease. OBJECTIVE: The present paper aims to evaluate various aspects of preventive measures and clinical management of the scheduled visits for orthodontic patients to the dental clinics during the outbreak of COVID-19, and to assess how orthodontists dealt with this challenge. METHODS: Orthodontists in private and public clinics were invited to fill a questionnaire that addressed infection control protocols and concerns about clinical management of patients in the clinics during the pandemic. Frequncies and percentages of the responses were obtained and compared using Chi-square tests. RESULTS: About 77% of those working in private clinics, a

Abstract
<title>Objectives

The objective of this review was to describe the COVID-19 complications after recovery.

Methods

The researchers systematically reviewed studies that reported post-COVID-19 complications from three databases: PubMed, Google Scholar and the World Health Organization (WHO) COVID-19 database. The search was conducted between 21 November 2020 and 14 January 2021. Inclusion criteria were articles written in English, with primary data, reporting complications of COVID-19 after full

Deep Learning-based Predictive Model of mRNA Vaccine Deterioration: An Analysis of the Stanford COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine Dataset
...Show More Authors

The emergence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic, has resulted in a global health crisis leading to widespread illness, death, and daily life disruptions. Having a vaccine for COVID-19 is crucial to controlling the spread of the virus which will help to end the pandemic and restore normalcy to society. Messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules vaccine has led the way as the swift vaccine candidate for COVID-19, but it faces key probable restrictions including spontaneous deterioration. To address mRNA degradation issues, Stanford University academics and the Eterna community sponsored a Kaggle competition. This study aims to build a deep learning (DL) model which will predict deterioration rates at each base of the mRNA

Enhancing Disease Prediction in Healthcare through Explainable AI in Clinical Decision Support Systems
...Show More Authors

A superb demonstration of one of the wonders of technology providing the people with great aid is the employment of Artificial Intelligence in the medical field, and mainly the introduction of Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS). Nevertheless, non-’black-box’ AI systems have a significant problem, that is, although they are visible and understandable, there is still a considerable issue of trust by healthcare professionals. Explainable AI (XAI) technology is a means to overcome all the obstacles by unveiling more and offering the explanations of the procedures that AI performs in decision making. This study was conducted by examining various widely used approaches to XAI, which illustrate how XAI verifies the trustworthiness of CDS
