Process Optimization Study of Pb(II) Removal by Bulk Liquid Membrane (BLM)
...Show More Authors

Box-Wilson experimental design method was employed to optimized lead ions removal efficiency by bulk liquid membrane (BLM) method. The optimization procedure was primarily based on four impartial relevant parameters: pH of feed phase (4-6), pH of stripping phase (9-11), carrier concentration TBP (5-10) %, and initial metal concentration (60-120 ppm). maximum recovery efficiency of lead ions is 83.852% was virtually done following thirty one-of-a-kind experimental runs, as exact through 24-Central Composite Design (CCD). The best values for the aforementioned four parameters, corresponding to the most restoration efficiency were: 5, 10, 7.5% (v/v), and 90 mg/l, respectively. The obtained experimental data had been

Synthesis, spectral characterization and thermal ‎study of complexes of ions of some metallic ‎elements with new cyclic ligands
...Show More Authors

The purpose of my thesis is to prepare four new ligands (L1-L4) that have been ‎used to prepare a series of metal complexes by reacting them with metal ions:‎ ‎ M=(Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II) ‎ ‎ Where succinyl chloride was used as a raw material for the preparation of ‎bi-dented ligands (L1-L4) by reacting it with potassium thiocyanate as a first ‎step and then reacting with (2-aminobenzothiazole, Benzylamine, 4-‎aminoantipyrine, Sulfamethoxazole) respectively as a second step with the use ‎of dry acetone as a solvent, the chemical formula of the four ligands prepared in ‎succession:‎ N1,N4-bis(benzo[d]thiazol-2-ylcarbamothioyl)succinamide (L1)‎ N1,N4-bis(benzylcarbamothioyl)succinami

2-hydrazinylbenzo[d]thiazole compound [1] is produced from reaction of 2-mercapto-benzothiazole with hydrazine hydride in ethanol. Compound [1] reacted with maleic anhydride in DMF to produce (Z)-4-(2-(benzo[d] thiazol-2yl) hydrazinyl)-4-oxobut-2-enoic acid [compound (2)]. While the treatment of compound [2] with the ammonium persulfate (NH4)2S2O8 (as the initiator) in order to produce compound [3], then compound [3] reacted with thionyl chloride in benzene to produce compound [4], finally compound [4] reaction with various drugs: cephalexin, amoxicillin, sulfamethizole, elecoxib obtained polymers [5–8]. Synthesis, Characterization of Some New 1,2,4-Triazole derivatives as Antimicrobial and Study of their Molecular docking
...Show More Authors

This study outlines the synthesis of substituted 1,2,4-triazole derivatives through the cyclization reaction of thiourea derivatives. The process begins with the reaction of different halides with KSCN to produce isothiocyanate derivatives. then followed by a reaction with isonicotinic acid hydrazide to yield thioureas (1-6), with a yield rate of (72-88%). Then, compounds (1-6) were treated with alkaline medium 4 N (NaOH) to produced 1,2,4-triazole derivatives (7-12) with a yield (51-69%).The structure of the prepared compounds was characterized using FTIR,1HNMR and 13CNMR spectroscopy. Some of the synthesized compounds were tested for antimicrobial activity when, compound 9 showed strong activity against gram positive bacteria (Sta

Expression of Urotensin II of Human Placental Tissues and in Serum in Gestational Diabetic Mellitus in Iraqi Woman
...Show More Authors

The placenta is an organ between the mother and fetus necessary for fetal growth and development. Gestational diabetes mellitus (DM) is the most frequent metabolic condition detected during pregnancy. It is characterized as hyperglycemia of various severity with onset or first detection during pregnancy that does not clearly describe any form of preexisting diabetes. Urotensin II (UII), a pluripotent vasoactive peptide, is important in developing insulin resistance. This study aimed to determine the level of Urotensin II(UII) in placenta and in the serum of diabetic and nondiabetic women. Methods The blood and placenta tissue collected from 50 ladies had been enrolled in this research ( 25 females with uncomplicated), (25 women with gestati
