When nurses are involved in disaster management without proper preparation, their capacity to deliver care may be significantly compromised. However, assessment nurses’ perceptions of disaster preparedness and core competence are limited. The study assessed the nurses’ perception of disaster preparedness and core competence. And the association between sociodemographic characteristics and disaster preparedness and core competence. Instrument & Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted from February 22 to August 15, 2024, in four teaching hospitals (Baghdad Teaching Hospital, Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital, Al-Kindi Teaching Hospital, and Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital) and three general hospitals (Al- Rumaitha Hospital, Alkhudier Hospital, and Al-Warkaa Hospital) in the mid-and south of Iraq. The data was analyzed using SPSS 20 and Microsoft Excel 2010 by an independent two-sample t-test analysis of variance (ANOVA) at p<0.05 significant level. Findings The total NPDCC score according to gender (p=0.044) and years of experience (p=0.021) had significant associations with the core competence perception. Also, the total NPDCC score according to the field of work (p=0.01), the nurses have a role in disasters (p=0.0291), and you have a role in disasters (p=0.0001) had significant associations with the disaster preparedness perception. Conclusion Most nurses have no clear image of their role in disaster preparedness and are incompetent.
This study included a survey and review of the scientific names of the marsh insects (aquatic and surrounding it) for the purpose of unifying and updating the database. The survey reveals 109 species under 77 genera that belong to 32 families and 7 orders as follow: Coleoptera (44 species), Diptera (7 species) Ephemeroptera (2 species), Hemiptera (14 species), Hymenoptera (11 species), Lepidoptera (2 species) and Odonata with 29 species. Information of specimens' collection for each species, synonyms and geographical distribution were provided.
The management of construction projects needs to complete the basics of system management and work. Starting from the idea and how to turn it into a full study and ended at the construction project completion arriving at the purpose prepared for it, so the projects need to control on its operation and integration system in order to succeed.
It is no secret for who concerned in construction projects field that the design stage is a very important stage in construction project because it determines the final features of the project through the requirements provided by the employer for the consultant to formulate it during this phase in the form of plans, drawings, and specifications, then translated on the ground as the shape of co

The aim of this study is to find a relationship between oxidative stress and adiponectin in Iraqi patients with acromegaly. The present study included 30 patients with acromegaly disease attending at Al-Yarmuk teaching hospital , and 30 healthy individuals as a control group. The two groups with ages ranging (30-55) years. The results revealed a highly significant elevation in all parameters (GH,IGF-1 , adiponectin , malondialdehyde , and peroxynitrite ) levels in sera of patients when compared with healthy control .It can be concluded that oxidative stress (malondialdehyde and peroxynitrite ) may be valuable in detecting of endocrine diseases like acromegaly .
This research aims to explore the status effects of the Sudden, and gradual of AI-Driven Cyber Security (AIDC), Big data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) The strategic flexibility (SF) and entrepreneurship (ENT) on Iraqi internet services providers ISPs. The work fills an important lacunae in what the advanced dimensions of technology have with regard to its influencing both SF and ENT outcomes in developing economy context, where empirical evidences are scant. A cross-sectional survey based on a quantitative research methodology was conducted on 113 professionals in Iraqi telecommunication sector. A partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach was adopted to examine 10 hypotheses concerning the relationship
