Three types of medical commercial creams Silvazine, Cinolon Tar and Hydroquinon Domina were incorporated in this study. The medical creams were taken directly and placed uniformly on the glass slide. Each type of pharmaceutical was weighed at 1 mg and dispersed on an area of 1x1 cm. This process ensures same thickness for all samples. The creams were analyzed by using double-beam UV/visible spectrophotometer Metertech SP8001. The absorption spectrum for each of samples was measured against wavelength range of 300–700 nm.

Medulloblastomas and ependymomas are the most common malignant brain tumors in children. However genetic abnormalities associated with their development and prognosis remain unclear. Recently two gene fusions, KIAA1549–BRAF and SRGAP3–RAF1 have been detected in a number of brain tumours. We report here our development and validation of RT-RQPCR assays to detect various isoforms of these two fusion genes in formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissues of medulloblastoma and ependymoma. UV-Vis technique has been used to study the adsorption of para-nitroaniline (PNA) on Iraqi siliceous rocks powder. Adsorption isotherms were investigated, temperature effect on adsorption was calculated, Results showed that the adsorption was an exothermic process and the thermodynamic functions were calculated. The effect of the pH on adsorption was studied and the ionic strength effect on adsorption was studied, It was found that adsorption increases with the presence of sodium chloride ions. The kinetic study of adsorption before equilibrium showed that the adsorption was pseudo first order according to according (Lagergren equation).

In this paper, Activated Carbon was successfully prepared from local Iraqi material namely corns stalks .Zinc chloride ZnCl2 was used as activating agent with different concentrations (20%, 40%, 60%) for 72 hours. followed by carbonization at 450 C for (2) hour.
