The purpose of this research is to identify the concept of digital content and research repositories and its origin, and to indicate the importance of its existence through the websites of universities and their types, and to identify the research repositories provided by Iraqi universities and to identify the research repository of the Iraqi academic journals of the Ministry of Higher Education. This research include design and implementation of an Iraqi cities database using spatial data structure for storing data in two or more dimension called k-d tree .The proposed system should allow records to be inserted, deleted and searched by name or coordinate.
