Ultraviolet light radiation is applied to treat Plaque Psoriasis disease by targeted phototherapy. This is available through Narrowband-UVB light radiation devices peaked at wavelength 311 nm. Ten cases were chosen as a study group, 8 males aged 22-40 years old, and 2 females aged 25 and 32 years old who were exposed to ultraviolet light radiation. Their recovery or improvement was followed weekly. Different doses were used according to the severity of the lesion and as a trial for the outcome. Radioactive liquid waste contaminated with cesium-137 found in the radiochemistry laboratories at Tuwaitha site, south of Baghdad, was treated in this work. Bentonite was used as a sorbent material for the removal of radioactive cesium-137 from liquid waste by ion exchange method. The results indicated that the best removal efficiency obtained was 95.13% with experimental conditions of 2 h mixture time, 0.04 g sorbent mass, and pH=10 for the radioactive liquid. It was found that the experimental results match well with Langmuir and Freundlich models, with better matching with the latter.

Drag reduction (DR) techniques are used to improve the flow by spare the flow energy. The applications of DR are conduits in oil pipelines, oil well operations and flood water disposal, many techniques for drag reduction are used. One of these techniques is microbubbles.  In this work, reduce of drag percent occurs by using a small bubbles of air pumped in the fluid transported. Gasoil is used as liquid transporting in the pipelines and air pumped as microbubbles. This study shows that the maximum value of drag reduction is 25.11%.
