The purpose of the study was to determine the in-vitro antitumor and antioxidant activity of Aloe vera gel extract by evaluating the cytotoxic effect of extract and Zoladex (goserelin) on breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) and prostate cancer cell line (PC-3), in addition to measure the antioxidant activity to find out this kind of anticancer drug, which is a cheap, safe, less toxic, and more active drug contrasted to chemotherapy drug. The cytotoxic effect evaluated by cytotoxicity assay (MTT assay), while the activity of the Aloe Vera gel as antioxidant was tested using a scavenging test of free radical (2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) (DPPH), ferric reducing antioxidant potential (FRAP) and (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity)(ORAC). Treatment of the extract against breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) and prostate cancer cell line (PC-3), in all concentrations, indicateda decrease in cell viability percentage with the concentration increasing. Aloe vera extract showed its best activity in the concentration of 400 ìg/ml. The same results observed with Zoladex treatment for breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) and prostate cancer cell line (PC-3) which represented a decrease in cell viability percentage with the concentration increasing. Aloe vera gel extract was more than to the activity of Zoladex drug and revealed that Aloe vera extract exhibits good cytotoxic activity. The antioxidant properties of the Aloe vera gel extract was effective. Antioxidant activities of Aloe Vera gel extract were estimated using different concentrations starting with 200 µg/ml, 100µg/ml, 50 µg/ml, 25 µg/ml and, 12.5µg/ml. Aloe Vera gel extract have the maximum scavenging activity at 200 µg/ml.
Abstract:
The aim of the current study was to investigate the possible protective effect of graded doses (5, 10, and 15mg/kg) of pyridoxine hydrochloride intraperitoneally injected against (15mg/kg) doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity in female rats. Fifty-six (56) Wistar albino female rats were utilized weighing 180-200 gm allocated into eight groups, seven rats each; Group I: negative control distilled water; Group II: Pyridoxine (5mg/kg); Group III: Pyridoxine (10mg/kg); Group IV: Pyridoxine (15mg/kg); Group V: doxorubicin (15 mg/kg); Group VI: Pyridoxine (5 mg/kg) prior to

Some of synthesized compounds were evaluated in vitro for their antibacterial activities against three kinds of pathogenic strains Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli
Background: Crohn's disease (CD) is an immunological disorder associated with chronic inflammatory process of several unspecific regions of gastrointestinal tract but frequently detected in the terminal Ilium and proximal colon or both. This disease frequently presented with various oral manifestations as a consequence of inflammatory process of the disease, nutritional deficiency or medications side effects. Several therapeutic approaches have been developed for CD management that are targeting the inflammatory process and directed at controlling the host immune response. Immunosuppressants such as Azathioprine and anti-TNF α agents as well as the combination of them have been widely used as an effective therapeutic modality with a bett

The subject of ((Jewish activity in Libya 1911 AD - 1951 AD)), and the nature of follow - up economic and social activities and political participation has remained poor in terms of study and follow - up, because of the scarcity of sources, especially documentary ones. The research will reveal within its axes the most important of these activities.
Orange peel was used as a plant-derived medium to prepare a ZnO–calcite mixed-phase nanostructured material, which was physicochemically characterized and evaluated for DPPH radical-scavenging, α-glucosidase inhibitory, and in vitro cytotoxic activities. XRD confirmed the coexistence of hexagonal wurtzite ZnO and crystalline calcite, with ZnO apparent crystallite sizes ranging from 9.2 to 28.3 nm (mean 16.4 ± 7.3 nm). FTIR identified Zn–O vibrations, carbonate-related bands, surface hydroxyl groups, and residual organic functionalities, while FESEM revealed irregular agglomerates composed of nanoscale grains. EDX showed Zn, O, C, and Ca as the principal elements, and the material exhibited a zeta potential of -14.86 ± 0.52 mV
