A review of enhanced image techniques using chaos encryption
...Show More Authors

Secured multimedia data has grown in importance over the last few decades to safeguard multimedia content from unwanted users. Generally speaking, a number of methods have been employed to hide important visual data from eavesdroppers, one of which is chaotic encryption. This review article will examine chaotic encryption methods currently in use, highlighting their benefits and drawbacks in terms of their applicability for picture security.

In this study, dynamic encryption techniques are explored as an image cipher method to generate S-boxes similar to AES S-boxes with the help of a private key belonging to the user and enable images to be encrypted or decrypted using S-boxes. This study consists of two stages: the dynamic generation of the S-box method and the encryption-decryption method. S-boxes should have a non-linear structure, and for this reason, K/DSA (Knutt Durstenfeld Shuffle Algorithm), which is one of the pseudo-random techniques, is used to generate S-boxes dynamically. The biggest advantage of this approach is the production of the inverted S-box with the S-box. Compared to the methods in the literature, the need to store the S-box is eliminated. Also, the fabr

Hiding and Encryption of Secret Image Using Secret Sharing Scheme
...Show More Authors

With the development of information technology and means for information transfer it has become necessary to protect sensitive information. The current research presents a method to protect secret colored images which includes three phases: The first phase calculates hash value using one of hash functions to ensure that no tampering with or updating the contents of the secret image. The second phase is encrypting image and embedding it randomly into appropriate cover image using Random Least Significant Bit (RLSB) technique. Random hiding provides protection of information embedded inside cover image for inability to predict the hiding positions, as well as the difficult of determining the concealment positions through the analysis of im

Image Retrieval Using Data Mining Technique
...Show More Authors

Even though image retrieval is considered as one of the most important research areas in the last two decades, there is still room for improvement since it is still not satisfying for many users. Two of the major problems which need to be improved are the accuracy and the speed of the image retrieval system, in order to achieve user satisfaction and also to make the image retrieval system suitable for all platforms. In this work, the proposed retrieval system uses features with spatial information to analyze the visual content of the image. Then, the feature extraction process is followed by applying the fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering algorithm to reduce the search space and speed up the retrieval process. The experimental results show t

An Efficient Image Encryption Using a Dynamic, Nonlinear and Secret Diffusion Scheme

This paper presents a new secret diffusion scheme called Round Key Permutation (RKP) based on the nonlinear, dynamic and pseudorandom permutation for encrypting images by block, since images are considered particular data because of their size and their information, which are two-dimensional nature and characterized by high redundancy and strong correlation. Firstly, the permutation table is calculated according to the master key and sub-keys. Secondly, scrambling pixels for each block to be encrypted will be done according the permutation table. Thereafter the AES encryption algorithm is used in the proposed cryptosystem by replacing the linear permutation of ShiftRows step with the nonlinear and secret pe

Solution of Some Application of System of Ordinary Initial Value Problems Using Osculatory Interpolation Technique
...Show More Authors

The aim of this paper is to find a new method for solving a system of linear initial value problems of ordinary differential equation using approximation technique by two-point osculatory  interpolation with the fit equal numbers of derivatives at the end points of an interval [0, 1] and compared the results with conventional methods and is shown to be that seems to converge faster and more accurately than the conventional methods.

Modified Blowfish Algorithm for Image Encryption using Multi Keys based on five Sboxes
...Show More Authors

In this paper, a new modification was proposed to enhance the security level in the Blowfish algorithm by increasing the difficulty of cracking the original message which will lead to be safe against unauthorized attack. This algorithm is a symmetric variable-length key, 64-bit block cipher and it is implemented using gray scale images of different sizes. Instead of using a single key in cipher operation, another key (KEY2) of one byte length was used in the proposed algorithm which has taken place in the Feistel function in the first round both in encryption and decryption processes. In addition, the proposed modified Blowfish algorithm uses five Sboxes instead of four; the additional key (KEY2) is selected randomly from additional Sbox

The interpolation effect on the spare sinogram for 3D image reconstruction
...Show More Authors

The effect of using three different interpolation methods (nearest neighbour, linear and non-linear) on a 3D sinogram to restore the missing data due to using angular difference greater than 1° (considered as optimum 3D sinogram) is presented. Two reconstruction methods are adopted in this study, the back-projection method and Fourier slice theorem method, from the results the second reconstruction proven to be a promising reconstruction with the linear interpolation method when the angular difference is less than 20°.
