Changes in the Growth and Yield of Broccoli Grown in the Alternative Solution ABEER, Affected by Gas Enrichment and Spraying with Organic Nutrients under the Hydroponic Cultivation System
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>A Field experiment was conducted in Horticulture and Landscape Department, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, Al-Jadriah during fall 2019-2020 to study changes in the growth and yield of broccoli grown in the alternative solution ABEER, affected by gas enrichment and spraying with coconut water and moringa aqueous extract under the hydroponic cultivation system. Nested design with three replications adopted in the experiment, each of them included in main plot the first factor, which is gas enrichment (O2 and O3), Then levels of second factor were randomly distributed within each replicate, which included spraying with plants extracts which was Coconut water and Moringa leaves extract at two concentrations 50, 100 ml. L-1 and 2, 4 % for each of them symbolized as T1, T2, T3, T4 respectively, As well as control treatment T0. Results showed a significant effect of O2T2 on leaves content of Calcium, Manganese, Zinc, Copper, Boron and Chlorophyll, leaves area, roots length, roots dry weight, Weight of main head and total yield (1.716%, 27.80, 64.80, 64.80, 20.90 mg.Kg-1, 421.1 mg.100g fresh wt.-1, 293.48 dcm2 plant-1, 124.2 cm, 29.67g. plant1, 677.00 g. plant1 and 50.08 t.ha-1 respectively) while O2T3 produced a significant highest values of leaves content of Mg, Fe, leaves number, number and weight of side heads compared to the control treatment O2T0. It could be concluded that it is possible to culture broccoli hydroponically and increase its productivity through oxygen enrichment and spraying with the coconut water at the concentration of 100 ml. L-1 while preserving the environment from pollution.</p>

Evaluation of Volatile Organic Compounds from Broccoli Plants Infested with Myzus persicae and Parasitoids Aphidius colemani Attraction
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from uninfested and infested broccoli plant samples with green peach aphid Myzus persicae were investigated by headspace solid microextraction (HS-SPME) combined with gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Overall, 25 compounds were identified in uninfested and infested broccoli plants. The HS-SPME combined with GC-MS analysis of the volatiles described the differences between the infested and uninfested broccoli plant samples. Based on peak area from the GC-MS analysis, the VOCs from infested broccoli were significantly greater than that from uninfested broccoli, such as D-limonene, Undecane, 3,4-dimethyl-, Heptane, </p> ... THE BIOLOGICAL EFFECTIVENESS OF GIBBERELLIC ACID SEEDS SOAKING AND FOLIAR TO ABSCISIC ACID IN THE GROWTH , ANISE OIL YIELD AND ITS CHEMICAL CONTENT
...Show More Authors

A field experiment was carried out during two winter season 2013, 2014 at the field of the Department of Field Crops, College of Agriculture, University of Baghdad, to study the effect of seeds soaking with Gibberellic acid and foliar with Abscisic Acid on the growth, yield, and content of Anise oil seeds using factorial experiment within RCBD design with three replicates. The seeds was treated within GA3 were soaked with two concentrations of  30, and 60 mg. litter-1 in addition to without soaking and the code has been B0 , B1 , B2 overlapped these transactions with two concentrations of Abscisic Acid  3, and 6 mg. litter-1 in addition to without foliar A0 , A1 , A2The seeds to be treated  with GA3 are soaked for 24 hours prior

Abstract<p>To study the response of the celery plant to nitrogen fertilization and spray with salicylic acid in the leaves content of nutrients, the research was conducted in one of the fields of the Department of Horticulture and Gardening Engineering / College of Agriculture / University of Baghdad within the 2019-2018 season. The research was carried out as a global experiment and with the design of complete randomized sectors (RCBD) and with three replicates, the first factor included the addition of nitrogen with three levels and its symbol (N) (N1 control), (N2) g / m2 18 ), (N3) 37 g / m2 and the second factor spraying acid salicylic is denoted by</p> ... Dynamical Behavior of a Cancer Growth Model with Chemotherapy and Boosting of the Immune System
...Show More Authors

In this study, we set up and analyze a cancer growth model that integrates a chemotherapy drug with the impact of vitamins in boosting and strengthening the immune system. The aim of this study is to determine the minimal amount of treatment required to eliminate cancer, which will help to reduce harm to patients. It is assumed that vitamins come from organic foods and beverages. The chemotherapy drug is added to delay and eliminate tumor cell growth and division. To that end, we suggest the tumor-immune model, composed of the interaction of tumor and immune cells, which is composed of two ordinary differential equations. The model’s fundamental mathematical properties, such as positivity, boundedness, and equilibrium existence, are exami

The dialectical relationship between the organization's growth and its value under the framework of the diversification strategy
...Show More Authors

The research is conducted on target of investigating the role of growth strategy via diversification in value maximization of a firm in terms of controversies literatures had witnessed. Using a descriptive approach for analyzing and verifying the harmony of variables of research and their conceptualized logic , it could be reached to many conclusions agreed in their essence upon that the related diversification has the major role in value maximization of a firm and the wealth of its owners .
