One hundred and nine clinical lactose fermenter isolates were collected from different samples (urine, stool, wound swab, blood, and sputum) , in a period from February 2014 till May 2014. All samples gathered from Alyarmok laboratories, Alkadimiya laboratories, and Baghdad teaching laboratories which are situated at Baghdad city. Fifty three (48,62%) isolates were identified as Klebsiella pneumoniae depending on microscopic characterization , conventional biochemical tests and then the identification confirmed with API 20E system . The rest of 56(51, 38%) isolates represented other bacteria.Susceptibility test was achieved to all fifty-three K. pneumoniae isolates using five antibiotic disks (Ceftazidime, Ceftriaxone, Cefotaxime, Imipen

Show MoreThe present study was conducted on sixty five pregnant women that infected with acute toxoplasmosis, serum samples were tested for detection specific anti-Toxoplasma gondii IgM using the rapid Toxo IgG/IgM Chromatographic immune assay test cassette and ELISA, and fifty healthy married women (not pregnant) as was considered as control group. The level of serum IL-6, IL-8, IL-12, TNF-α, TGF-β1, IP-10, MIP-1, MIG and ICAM were significantly increased (P <0.005) in pregnant patients infected with acute toxoplasmosis, while serum level of MCP-1(14.46 ± 1.38pg/ml) was not significantly increased when compared to controls(11.25 ± 0.24pg/ml) , these levels can be used as i

MRI may be of great help in identifying malignant lesion before surgery. Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI) is a sensitive method for changes in proton of water mobility caused by pathological alteration of tissue cellularity, cellular membrane integrity, extracellular space perfusion, and fluid viscosity.
Objective: to study the diagnostic accuracy of DWI in differentiation between benign and malignant ovarian masses.
Type of the study:Cross-sectional study.
Methods: this study included 53with complex

Show MoreThe spectrum known represented as a relationship that’s plotted between the magnitudes or energy for a specific parameter vs. its frequency, the wind spectrum is presented as the sum of wind speed created by events divided either in space, in time, or both. This paper presents a wind speed spectrum demonstration in
Ali Al-Gharbi location in Iraq. The aim of the present paper is to analysis the wind speed and direction by employing the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) therefore field measurement of wind speed and direction were collected for one year from Dec 2014 to Dec 2015 in the time interval of 10 minutes at heights of 10, 30 and 50
meters. From the performance of the FFT it was found that the v
The objective of this research was to estimate the dose distribution delivered by radioactive gold nanoparticles (198 AuNPs or 199 AuNPs) to the tumor inside the human prostate as well as to normal tissues surrounding the tumor using the Monte-Carlo N-Particle code (MCNP-6.1. 1 code). Background Radioactive gold nanoparticles are emerging as promising agents for cancer therapy and are being investigated to treat prostate cancer in animals. In order to use them as a new therapeutic modality to treat human prostate cancer, accurate radiation dosimetry simulations are required to estimate the energy deposition in the tumor and surrounding tissue and to establish the course of therapy for the patient. Materials and methods A simple geometrical

CMV infects populations of all ages according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). CMV infections remain the most common viral complication potentially multiple in humans and are a major cause of congenital normality in women, which is why they are critical for diagnosis in several times when it happens during pregnancy. Pregnant women with CMV infection can be in charge of abortion or congenital expandaedby. This study involves the collection a total of (90) samples taken from each aborted and pregnant woman (70 with abortion cases and 20 of pregnant without history of abortion as control subjects) r

These samples were collected and prepared in a petri dish for the measurements using gamma spectroscopy. The average values of 238U, 232Th, 40K, and 137Cs for the unfertilized plant samples were (11.964 ± 3.226, 8.273 ± 2.639, 402.436 ± 18.099, and 2.761 ± 1.613) respectively, and for the fertilized plant samples were (30.434 ± 5.282, 22.584 ± 4.620, 711.332 ± 25.806, and 6.986 ± 2.542) respectively. The average values of radiological hazard indices, Raeq, D, D for 137Cs, (AEDE)in, (AEDE)out, Iγ, Hin, and Hout for the unfertilized plant samples were (54.782 ± 7.216, 27.306, 0.469, 0.

The prior information is described as linear stochastic restrictions. We study the properties and the performances of these estimators compared to other common estimators using the mean squared error as a criterion for the goodness of fit. A numerical example and a simulation study are proposed to explain the performance of the estimators.
