New series of 4,4'-((2-(Aryl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazole1,3(2H)-diyl)bis(methylene))Diphenol(3a-g) was successfully synthesized from cyclization of the reduction product of bis Schiff bases (2) with aryl aldehydes bearing phenolic hydroxyl in the presence of acetic acid. The structure of these compounds was identified from FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and EIMs. The Antioxidant capability was screened by DPPH and FRAP assays. A conventional four stroke, direct injected, single cylinder, diesel engine was tested at constant speed and at different load conditions using diesel fuel and biodiesel blends. A sensitive and selective method have been developed for the determination of palladium (II)and platinum (II) . A new reagent and two complexes have been prepared in ethanolic solutions .The method is based on the chelation of metal ions with 4-(4?- pyrazolon azo) resorcinol (APAR) to form intense color soluble products, that are stable and have a maximum absorption at 595 nm and at 463 nm and ?max of 1.11×10 4 and.1.35 ×104 Lmole-1cm-1 for Pd(II) Pt(II) respectively. A linear correlation of (1.4 – 0.2) and (3.2 -0.4 ) ppm for pd(II) pt(II) respectively .The stability constants , relative errors , a relative standard deviations for Pd(II) and Pt(II) were 0.40×105 , 0.4×104 L mol-1 ,0.34 - 0.21% and 2.4 – 0.91% respectively.

In May 20th. 1985 two species of aphids were found on the roots of Vicia faba L. in Hammam region 30 Kilometer south of Mosul. Samples of these aphids were sent to the Commonwealth Institute of Entomology, London. ( No. 17002/9804 Asia ) and identified as being Smynthurodes betas westwood and Dysaphis crataegi (Kaltenbach) (APhididae : Homoptera). The first species was dominant. The latter species was also noticed on the roots of the common bishop's weed (Ammi majus L.) and on the wide carrot (Daucus carrota L.) of the family Umbelliferae (Bodenheimer & Swirski, 1957).
