Despite the recognised importance of green onion as a nutritionally and medicinally valuable crop in Iraq, its production heavily depends on chemical fertilisers, which degrade soil fertility and environmental quality. Although organic manure, biofertilizers, and micronutrients such as boron individually improve soil health and crop performance, limited information is available on their integrated application under local agro-ecological conditions. Stealthy intracellular bacterial pathogens are known to establish persistent and sometimes lifelong infections. Klebsiella pneumoniae have an ability to form biofilm as one of strategies to persist and overcome host defenses. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of rosemary essential oil alone and in combination with some antibiotics against biofilm of K. pneumoniae isolated from urine. The antibiotics resistance pattern by disc diffusion method and minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of gentamicin, ciprofloxacin, amoxicillin, trimethoprim/ sulfame- thoxazole, cefotoxime and rosemary essential oil were determined.
