Turbid of Water By Using Fuzzy C- Means and Hard K- Means
...Show More Authors

In this research two algorithms are applied, the first is Fuzzy C Means (FCM) algorithm and the second is hard K means (HKM) algorithm to know which of them is better than the others these two algorithms are applied on a set of data collected  from the Ministry of Planning on the water turbidity of five areas in Baghdad to know which of these areas are less turbid in clear water to see which months during the year are less turbid in clear water in the specified area.

Nutrient and Water Use Efficiency of Broccoli Cultivated Hydroponically on Alternative Solution ABEER
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>A Field experiment was conducted in Horticulture and Landscape Department, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, Al-Jadriah during fall 2019-2020 to study nutrient and water use efficiency of broccoli cultivated hydroponically on alternative solution ABEER. Nested design with three replications adopted in the experiment, each of them included in main plot the first factor, which is gas enrichment (O2 and O3), Then levels of second factor were randomly distributed within each replicate, which included spraying with plants extracts which was Moringa leaves extract and Coconut water at two concentrations 2, 4 %and 5</p> ... Comparative Assessment of Dental Awareness Regarding Nutritional Adjuncts (Vitamins C and E) in Orthodontic Preventive Care: Insights from Different Academic Groups (A Cross-Sectional Survey)
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Oxidative stress, collagen synthesis, and inflammatory processes have a role in orthodontic movement of teeth. Vitamins C and E play supportive roles, but awareness among dental professionals might not be sufficient. This article aims to compare awareness of the role of vitamins C and E in orthodontic preventive care among Iraqi dental students and practitioners.</p><p>This article aims to compare awareness of the role of vitamins C and E in orthodontic preventive care among Iraqi dental students and practitioners.</p><p>A cross-sectional survey was conducted among a sample population of 490 respondents (234 undergraduates, </p> ... Study of electron energy distribution function and transport parameters for CF4 and Ar gases discharge by using the solution of Boltzmann equation-Part I
...Show More Authors

The Boltzmann transport equation is solved by using two- terms approximation for pure gases . This method of solution is used to calculate the electron energy distribution function and electric transport parameters were evaluated in the range of E/N varying from . 172152110./510.VcmENVcm
From the results we can conclude that the electron energy distribution function of CF4 gas is nearly Maxwellian at (1,2)Td, and when E/N increase the distribution function is non Maxwellian. Behavior of electrons transport parameters is nearly from the experimental results in references. The drift velocity of electron in carbon tetraflouride is large compared with other gases

Calculation and determination of radioactivity in the old district of Najaf by using the track detector CR-39 and geographical information systems (GIS) methods
...Show More Authors

This research aims to study the radiation concentration distribution of the old District of Najaf (Iraq), where 15 samples were taken from featured sites in the District, which represents archaeological, religious, and heritage sites. Track detector CR-39 was used to calculate the concentration of three different soil weights for each sample site after being exposed for a month. Geographical information systems (GIS) were used to distribute the radioactive concentration on the sites of the samples, where two interpolation methods, namely the inverse distance weight method (IDW) and the triangle irregular network method (NIT), to study the distribution of the radioactivity concentration. The study showed that the western part of the district

THE IMPACT OF VARYING INTENSITIES OF MAGNETICALLY TREATED WATER ON RENAL AND TESTICULAR TISSUE
...Show More Authors

This study aimed to investigate the effect of water treated with a magnetic field with different induction on the histological structure of the kidney and testicular tissue of albino rats. For this purpose, fifty albino rats were divided into five equal groups, the first of which was used as a control group, drank clean tap water for four weeks, the other groups were given daily water treated with a magnetic field with an induction of 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 gauss. Then the animals were sacrificed and histological changes in the kidneys and testicles were examined. Histopathological examination of the kidneys of animals that were given water treated with a magnetic field with an induction of 500, 1000 and 1500 gauss revealed n

Effects of Subsurface Water Retention Technology on Crop Coefficient and Crop Evapotranspiration of Eggplant
...Show More Authors

In this paper, the effects of subsurface water retention technology (SWRT) on crop coefficient (kc) and crop evapotranspiration (ETc) of eggplant were investigated in sandy loam soil. For this purpose, two treatments plot (with SWRT and without using SWRT) were adopted during 93 days of cultivation. The study was conducted in open field within Al-Fahamah Township, Baghdad, Iraq during summer growing season 2017. The accumulated ETc of eggplant was 403.3 and 515.2 mm for SWRT treatment and control plot, respectively by reduction percentage 21.7 %. The average values of ETc during the growing season were 4.3 and 5.5 mm/day, respectively. The crop coefficients value during the gro

Effects of Water Table Level on Slope Stability and Construction Cost of Highway Embankment
...Show More Authors

Highway embankments stability during its service period represents an important factor for the safety of highway users and vehicles. Consequently, the cost of construction of these embankments should be adequate to maintain the safety and durability during this period through proper estimation of the loading on asphalt pavement, slope stability, horizontal and vertical deformation, etc. Slope stability of the embankment mainly depends on the shear strength of the soil layers materials; this shear strength is affected by the water table level through the contribution of the capillary water. Negative pore water pressure above the water table level evolves matric suction in the unsaturated zone above water table; this matric suction increases
