In this study, iron was coupled with copper to form a bimetallic compound through a biosynthetic method, which was then used as a catalyst in the Fenton-like processes for removing direct Blue 15 dye (DB15) from aqueous solution. Characterization techniques were applied on the resultant nanoparticles such as SEM, BET, EDAX, FT-IR, XRD, and zeta potential. Specifically, the rounded and shaped as spherical nanoparticles were found for green synthesized iron/copper nanoparticles (G-Fe/Cu NPs) with the size ranging from 32-59 nm, and the surface area was 4.452 m2/g. The effect of different experimental factors was studied in both batch and continuous experiments. These factors were H2O2 concentration, G-Fe/CuNPs amount, pH, initial DB15 concentration, and temperature in the batch system. The batch results showed 98% of 100 mg/L of DB15 was degraded with optimum H2O2 concentration, G-Fe/Cu-NPs dose, pH, and temperature 3.52 mmol/L, 0.7 g/L, 3, and 50℃ respectively. For the continuous mode, the influences of initial DB15 concentration, feed flow rate, G-Fe/Cu-NPs depth were investigated using an optimized experimental Box-Behnken design, while the conditions of pH and H2O2 concentration were based on the best value found in the batch experiments. The model optimization was set the parameters at 2.134 ml/min flow rate, 26.16 mg/L initial dye concentration, and 1.42 cm catalyst depth. All the parameters of the breakthrough curve were also studied in this study including break time, saturation time, length of mass transfer zone, the volume of bed, and volume effluent.
In this paper, our purpose is to study the classical continuous optimal control (CCOC) for quaternary nonlinear parabolic boundary value problems (QNLPBVPs). The existence and uniqueness theorem (EUTh) for the quaternary state vector solution (QSVS) of the weak form (WF) for the QNLPBVPs with a given quaternary classical continuous control vector (QCCCV) is stated and proved via the Galerkin Method (GM) and the first compactness theorem under suitable assumptions(ASSUMS). Furthermore, the continuity operator for the existence theorem of a QCCCV dominated by the QNLPBVPs is stated and proved under suitable conditions.
In this paper the Galerkin method is used to prove the existence and uniqueness theorem for the solution of the state vector of the triple linear elliptic partial differential equations for fixed continuous classical optimal control vector. Also, the existence theorem of a continuous classical optimal control vector related with the triple linear equations of elliptic types is proved. The existence of a unique solution for the triple adjoint equations related with the considered triple of the state equations is studied. The Fréchet derivative of the cost function is derived. Finally the theorem of necessary conditions for optimality of the considered problem is proved.
In this paper we shall generalize fifth explicit Runge-Kutta Feldberg(ERKF(5)) and Continuous explicit Runge-Kutta (CERK) method using shooting method to solve second order boundary value problem which can be reduced to order one. These methods we shall call them as shooting Continuous Explicit Runge-Kutta method, the results are computed using matlab program.
The fingerprints are the more utilized biometric feature for person identification and verification. The fingerprint is easy to understand compare to another existing biometric type such as voice, face. It is capable to create a very high recognition rate for human recognition. In this paper the geometric rotation transform is applied on fingerprint image to obtain a new level of features to represent the finger characteristics and to use for personal identification; the local features are used for their ability to reflect the statistical behavior of fingerprint variation at fingerprint image. The proposed fingerprint system contains three main stages, they are: (i) preprocessing, (ii) feature extraction, and (iii) matching. The preprocessi

Show MoreThe modern systems that have been based upon the hash function are more suitable compared to the conventional systems; however, the complicated algorithms for the generation of the invertible functions have a high level of time consumption. With the use of the GAs, the key strength is enhanced, which results in ultimately making the entire algorithm sufficient. Initially, the process of the key generation is performed by using the results of n-queen problem that is solved by the genetic algorithm, with the use of a random number generator and through the application of the GA operations. Ultimately, the encryption of the data is performed with the use of the Modified Reverse Encryption Algorithm (MREA). It was noticed that the

The doping level of the Mg concentration (atoms ratio of Mg to Zn was chosen to be 0.75% and 1.5%. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) were performed to characterize the prepared films. X-ray diffraction analysis showed a decrease in the lattice parameters of the Mg-doped ZnO NRs. Under 10V applied bias voltage, the responsivity of p-n junction UV photodiode based on pure ZnO and Mg: ZnO with doping ratio (0.75% and 1.5%) was 0.06 A/W and (0.15A/W and 0.27A/W) at UV illumination of wavelength 365 nm respectively, 0.071 A/W and (0.084A/W and 0.11A/W) fo
... Show MoreIn this paper, a handwritten digit classification system is proposed based on the Discrete Wavelet Transform and Spike Neural Network. The system consists of three stages. The first stage is for preprocessing the data and the second stage is for feature extraction, which is based on Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). The third stage is for classification and is based on a Spiking Neural Network (SNN). To evaluate the system, two standard databases are used: the MADBase database and the MNIST database. The proposed system achieved a high classification accuracy rate with 99.1% for the MADBase database and 99.9% for the MNIST database
In this paper a method to determine whether an image is forged (spliced) or not is presented. The proposed method is based on a classification model to determine the authenticity of a tested image. Image splicing causes many sharp edges (high frequencies) and discontinuities to appear in the spliced image. Capturing these high frequencies in the wavelet domain rather than in the spatial domain is investigated in this paper. Correlation between high-frequency sub-bands coefficients of Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) is also described using co-occurrence matrix. This matrix was an input feature vector to a classifier. The best accuracy of 92.79% and 94.56% on Casia v1.0 and Casia v2.0 datasets respectively was achieved. This pe

Various techniques have been used together with convolution neural network to prepare voice data before the training process in developing the classification model. However, not all model can produce good classification accuracy as there are many types of voice or speech. Classification of Arabic alphabet pronunciation is a one of the types of voice and accurate pronunciation is required in the learning of the Qur’an reading. Thus, the technique to process the pronunciation and training of the processed data requires specific approach. To overcome this issue, a method based on padding and deep learning convolution neural network is proposed to
