‎“Parents Who Cause Harm”: A Study of the Attachment Theory in Christopher Durang’s ‎‎‘The Marriage of Bette and Boo’‎
...Show More Authors

Objectives: This study aims to examine toxic parental behavior and its impact on children based on the attachment theory. It also explores how early parental relationships influence future relationships with partners and children. The research assesses types of toxic parenting (dysfunctional, harmful, and psychologically damaging parenting behaviors) and their resulting insecure attachment patterns—avoidant, ambivalent, and disorganized—through the characters in The Marriage of Bette and Boo. Methods: Toxic parents play a decisive role in children’s lives, affecting how they view themselves and impacting their behavior. The study uses a psychological evaluation method that relies on the attachment theory (1978), first presented by John Bowlby and later developed by other theorists. It examines the type of attachment that a child forms with his parents in his early years and how that pattern will affect his future relationships. Results: The play's analysis of toxic parenting, framed by the attachment theory, affirms that insecure parenting environments can lead sons to develop an avoidant attachment to their parents and their beliefs. Matt's avoidant attachment, which stems from his relationship with toxic parents, has shaped his idiosyncratic worldview and religious beliefs through emotional detachment from others. Conclusions:  The study demonstrates how toxic parenting causes insecure attachment patterns in children. It concludes that toxic parenting affects every aspect of a person's life, including their relationships with their partners and children. It also demonstrates that insecure parents raise insecure children.

Acculturation and its Evolutionary Tendency in the Design of the Prayer Space Elements / Niche – A model: آلاء طالب كريم
...Show More Authors

The peculiarity of worship spaces in the Islamic architecture is evident by its symbolic connotations with doctrinal connections, thus the niche has a major status in that symbolic connotation, which transformed due to the cultural interaction from a rock on the wall directed towards Mecca into an element of integrated structural entity with performative and aesthetic characteristics. The spread of the Islamic religion contributed to subjecting it to a design acculturation process, thus the problem of the research was raised by the following question: has the evolutionary tendency of acculturation been able to effect a major transformation in the niche design? The research aims at identifying the design acculturation and its translation

Direction Structure of the Imaginary and Interpretation Controversy in the Theatre Reception "Mukashafat" Play -A Model: ثابت رسول جواد

The current research deals with the argument of delusion and interpretation in the direction structure and its reflected impact in the reception activity and the amount of conceptual displacement it is subjected to in an aesthetic approach to abstract conceptual definitions of the reception activity , by the effect of this dialectic in the direction structure, which can be summed up by the following question: (What are the characteristics of the direction structure of the imaginary and what is the argument of interpretation in the theatre reception activity?) in order to stand on the aesthetic framework and conceptual definition of the direction structure in the controversy of interpretation and imagination, and its impact on the concept

A Comparative Reservoir Study of Zubair and Nahr Umr Formations in Subba Oilfield, Southern Iraq
...Show More Authors

The lower Cretaceous sandstones of Zubair and Nahr Umr formations are the main producing reservoirs in Subba oilfield in southern Iraq. Key differences in their petrophysical and depositional attributes exist affecting their reservoir characteristics. The evaluation of well logs and core porosity-permeability data show better reservoir properties in Nahr Formation. The Litho-saturation logs indicate greater thickness of oil-saturated reservoir units for Nahr Unr Formation associated with lower values of shale volume, and higher values of effective porosity. In addition, higher values of permeability for Nahr Umr Formation is suggested by applying porosity-irreducible water saturation cross plot. The reducing reservoir quality of Zub

Metabolic, Electrolyte, and Hepatobiliary Complications of Parenteral Nutrition in Neonates: A Prospective Case-Series Study
...Show More Authors

Background: Parenteral nutrition (PN) is a life‑saving intervention for neonates who are unable to meet their nutritional requirements through enteral feeding. Despite its essential role, PN is frequently associated with metabolic, electrolyte, and hepatobiliary complications. Objective: To evaluate the frequency and pattern of metabolic, electrolyte, and hepatobiliary complications associated with PN administration in neonates. Methods: A prospective case-series study was conducted in two tertiary neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) in Baghdad, Iraq. Term and preterm neonates who received PN for at least five days were included. PN‑related metabolic, electrolyte, hepatobiliary, and hematological complications were recorded an

Experimental Study to the Effect of Natural Particles Added to Unsaturated Polyester Resin of a Polymer Matrix Composite
...Show More Authors

Experimental investigations had been done in this study to demonstrate the effect of natural particles used as a reinforcement material to unsaturated polyester resin. The tensile test and water absorption were investigated according to (ASTM D638) and (ASTM D570), respectively. The influence of sunflower husk and pomegranate husk particles, used as a reinforcement material, on the tensile strength, Young's modulus and water absorption with different weight fraction (3%, 7% and 10%) and particle grain size (50µm, 100 µm and 150 µm), has been investigated. The water absorption of polymer composites was studied by measuring the specimen weight before and after immersion in water for one hundred days. In the experiments of tensile test,
