The alterations in glyoxylate reductase and hydroxy-pyruvate reductase concentrations in the sera and the genetic alterations associated with calcium oxalate kidney stones in Iraqi patients were not studied previously so this study aimed to focus on these points. This study included 80 subjects; they were 50 patients with calcium oxalate stones compared to 30 apparently healthy controls. Biochemical investigations for kidney functions (creatinine, urea, and uric acid), were performed on the sera of both groups. Also, complete blood count, random blood sugar, and blood group tests. Furthermore, urine had been collected for General Urine Examination to visualize oxalate crystals in the urine of the patient. Also, the GRHPR enzyme concentration was measured by ELISA for both groups. The DNA was isolated from whole blood and the target DNA was amplified by PCR then the pathogenic mutations at c.295C>T (rs119490108), c.165G>A (rs180177314) and c.904C>T (p. Arg302Cys) rs180177322 were investigated by direct sequencing of the product, and then the results were analyzed. This study found that the concentration of the enzyme in the controls (4.78 ± 1.06 mg/dl) was significantly higher than its concentration in the patients (0.411 ± 0.02mg/dl). The pathogenic mutations were not found in both studied groups, but other positions were found polymorphic; at exon 4 the rs2768659 (A>G), rs1294628807 (G>A) and rs2736664 (C>T), at exon 6: c.579A>G (p. Ala193=) rs309458 and c.494-68A>G rs309459 and at exon 9 c.*146A>G rs1057507. In conclusion, this study found that calcium oxalate stones were associated with decrease GRHPR enzyme concentration in the patients compared to the control group which may be caused by mutations or epigenetics masking of the gene expression.
The aim of the research is to shed light on the stages of developing the Iraqi virtual science Library(IVSL) project, and to define its distinctive role in providing all kinds of electronic resources to researchers from professors and graduate students, to identify its contents , the entry interfaces and applications of use, and provide them through electronic portals to publishing houses, research institutions and international universities, The research sample included the teaching staff and researchers participating in educational qualification courses at the Continuing Education Center at the University of Baghdad, The research population and its sample consisted of the category of (IVSL) users, and its sample (387) users. In Iraq, among the Arab ethnic background, this association has not yet been highlighted. Methods: One hundred and ninety-two asthmatics were examined; 118 males and 74 females (mean age 38.23 ± 9.13 years). The control group was 183; 110 males and the rest were females. The SNP of rs2280091 A/G (T1) was studied here to determine adam33 genotyping status using polymerase chain reaction–restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR–RFLP). The level of total IgE was measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: Significant differences (p = 0.004) in the frequencies of

This research deals with the two item namely, the monetary policy central Bank of Iraqi and money supply . that contribute in up the problem of the paper that is concerned with the fact that to what extent the effectiveness of monetary policy conducted by the central Bank of Iraqi is valid in controlling money supply as well as the possibility of applying it in practical environment restricted to the scope of financial in stitiutions particularly in research population represented by central Bank of Iraqi .
For the purpose of a practical contribution for monetary and financial institutions . To achieve this , A hypothesis has been carried out and it suggested that the mon

The study stems from the extent of application of several Iraqi institutional accreditation standards represented as it was worked on through observation and field coexistence to reach scientific and practical facts. The study included Fasting Blood Sugar and fungal diagnosis (systemic and superficial fungus). The results showed that the high concentration of blood sugar belonged to the group > 70 years among the diabetic patients with high significant differences in comparison with other groups P<0.001 . The result showed that percentage of female systemic fungus infection was higher than male systemic fungus infection ( female 63% and male 24%) and vice versa about superficial fungus infection (female 37% and male 76%) . Data showed that the percentage of nail fungus infection among female diabetic patients was higher than the percentage of male diabetic p

In regulation of this inflammatory process, Interleukin-6, C-reactive proteins and albumin have a major role. Overproduction of IL-6 by immunocompetent cells contributes to activate the liver to produce CRP, transudation of plasma albumin and development of the inflammatory condition. Elevated levels of IL-6 in saliva could be expected, because the saliva-producing cells are part of the digestive system. The purpose of this study was to assess salivary IL-6, CRP and albumin in ulcerative colitis patients in relation to oral findings. Materials and methods: Forty eight saliva specimens collected from three groups of subjects (s

This project was designed to evaluate the protective effect of silymarin against the suspected renal and hepatic injury induced with long term use of NSAIDs; 220 patients with osteoarthritis were randomized into 5 groups and treated with either silymarin 300mg/day alone, piroxicam 20mg/day alone, meloxicam 15mg/day alone or the combination of each of them with silymarin for 8 weeks. The renal and hepatic functions were evaluated before starting treatment and after 8 weeks including assessm
