Bleeding disorders in pediatrics is an important issue and can be lifethreatening if not diagnosed and treated appropriately. We aimed to evaluate Iraqi pediatric practice (as an example of resource-limited settings) about the use of Recombinant Activated Factor VII (RFVIIa) in bleeding disorders, with emphasis on its effectiveness and safety, in comparison with adjuvant therapy. Budget restrictions may affect the availability of even lifesaving drugs such as (RFVIIa). Therefore, we tried to investigate the local experience of pediatric bleeding, with the evaluation of the potential ability of adjuvant therapy of blood products and vitamin K to substitute RFVIIa in case of non-availability. During a complete one year‘s period, 35 patients were recruited prospectively and divided into two categories; study group (on RFVIIa, with or without adjuvant therapy) and control group (only on adjuvant therapy of blood products, and vitamin K), involving 19, and 16 patients, respectively. The mortality rate in the study group was signiϐicantly less than the control group; (36.84%) versus (56.25%). Larger drops in prothrombin time (PT) (42%), and partial thromboplastin time (PTT) (47%), with less multi-organ dysfunction (29%) were noticed with the use of RFVIIa. Septicemia-associated disseminated intravascular coagulation was the most frequent indication of both groups; (31.58%) versus (37.50%), with a signiϐicant positive outcome in the study group. Total serum bilirubin levels were found to be lower in all neonates with jaundice within the study group. One patient had venous thrombosis following the RFVIIa administration. In conclusion, RFVIIa has the potential to stop pediatric bleeding episodes signiϐicantly better than adjuvant therapy alone, with signiϐicantly less mortality. Safety was ensured in all survived cases except one who had thromboembolism. Neonatal jaundice was improved by the use of RFVIIa.

The purpose of the present study is to identify the comprehensive concept of desertion through the Holy Qur’an and to derive some educational implications related to the concept of desertion and its editing. The also aims to explain the images and forms of desertion. The researcher used the qualitative analytical method. The study concluded that the comprehensive concept of desertion was represented in moving from the country of polytheism to the country of Islam, singularity, alienation, and isolation, leaving, repelling and showing off, abandoning the wife in bed, and reciting from the Qur’an recitation, action, and arbitration, insulting, abandoning, delirium, intersection, and manipulation. The vast majority of m-MIMO research has assumed that the channels are uncorrelated. However, this assumption seems highly idealistic. Therefore, this study investigates the m-MIMO performance when the channels are correlated and the base station employs different antenna array topologies, namely the uniform linear array (ULA) and uniform rectangular array (URA). In addition, this study develops analyses of the mean square error (MSE) and the regularized zero-forcing (RZF) precoder under imperfect channel state information (CSI) and a realist

Thus, more understanding of crack behavior during fatigue can strongly help in finding the proper mechanism to avoid the final fracture and extent the service life of components. The main goal of this paper is to study the fracture behavior of low carbon steel which is used mostly in automotive industry. For this purpose, the fractography of samples subjected to high and low stress levels in fatigue test then was evaluated and analyzed. Hardness and tensile tests were carried out to determine the properties of used steel. Also, the samples were characterized by microstructure test and XRD analysis to examine the con

The hydrochemical properties include the study of (pH, EC, TDS, and TH). The groundwater of the study area is odorless and colorless except the wells (13 and 16) with a salty taste due to the elevated (TDS) concentration in it, where the wells depth ranges between 7-20 meters. Depth of water in these wells was about 25-35 meters above sea level. Groundwater generally flows from east to west and from north east to south west. The resource of groundwater depends upon surface water. Physical specifications are measured in the water samples included temperature, color, taste, odor, pH, electrical condu

The Sampling and analyzing conducted in the present work included ( 15 ) Samples from Baghdad city ( three samples for each location ).The rates of heavy elements in soil samples were as following:. Pb ( 67.5 ) ppm, Cd ( 4.11 ) ppm , Zn ( 77.9 ) ppm , As ( 4.64 ) ppm. According to the results, we find increasing in the concentrations of the heavy elements ( Pb, Cd, Zn ) in soils and decreasing in ( As ).We conclude that the main reason behind the in
