A mounted specimen of a mustelid animal deposited in the Kurdistan Museum of Natural History, Salahaddin University, Erbil proved to be Mustela erminea (Linnaeus, 1758) and represents a new record for the mammalian fauna of Iraq. However, most information about the microbial populations in the gut of horses has not been quantitative. The objective of this study was to characterize the fecal bacterial and its prevalence in healthy horses and diarrheal one in a period from September 2010 to July 2013. In the present work, waste molasses from Iraqi date palm (Zahdi) had been used as a provenance to produce charcoal for the removal of methylene blue (MB) dye from water.
