Comprehensive researches to consider the behaviour of the metallic dampers have proven thatthe I-shaped link, designed to act as shear mechanism, serves as a ductile fuse. However, a key limitationis the reduced strength and stiffness of the system when these links are directly connected to the diagonalmember of a concentrically braced frame. To improve the structural performance of I-shaped links, researchers have suggested increasing the web plate thickness, which, in turn, raises the load on the bracemembers. A novel solution to address this issue involves incorporating diagonal stiffeners into the dampers. This study numerically and parametrically investigates the effect of stiffening I -shaped links using finiteelement analysis. Eligible participants aged 12 years or over were allocated to the 0.018-inch or 0.022-inch slot MBT appliance (3M-Unitek, Monrovia, California, USA) using block randomization in groups of 10. Outcome measures included: 1. ABO cast-radiograph evaluation (CR-EVAL), 2. peer assessment rating (PAR) scores, 3. incisor inclination, and 4. patient perception using the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need aesthetic component (IOTN AC) and three validated questionnaires before, during
Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a frequent gram-negative bacterium that causes nosocomial infections, affecting more than 100 million patients annually worldwide. Bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from E. coli binds to toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and its co-receptor’s cluster of differentiation protein 14 (CD14) and myeloid differentiation factor 2 (MD2), collectively known as the LPS receptor complex. LPCAT2 participates in lipid-raft assembly by phospholipid remodelling. Previous research has proven that LPCAT2 co-localises in lipid rafts with TLR4 and regulates macrophage inflammatory response. However, no published evidence exists of the influence of LPCAT2 on the gene expression of the LPS receptor complex induced by smooth or rough b

Osstell® RFA devices can be used with transducers (Smartpeg™) that correspond to the implants used as well as with transducers designed for application with Penguin® RFA devices (Multipeg™). Aims: This study aims to assess the reliability of a MultiPeg™ transducer with an Osstell® device in measuring dental implant stability. Materials and Methods: Sixteen healthy participants who required dental implant treatment were enrolled in this study. Implant stability was measured by using an Osstell® device with two transducers, namely, Smartpeg™ and M

One of the most suitable materials to be used in latent heat thermal energy storage system (LHTES) are Phase change materials, but a problem of slow melting and solidification processes made many researchers focusing on how to improve their thermal properties. This experimental work concerned with the enhancing of thermal conductivity of phase change material. The enhancing method was by the addition of copper Lessing rings in phase change material (paraffin wax). The effect of diameter for the used rings was studied by using two different diameters (0.5 cm and 1cm). Also, three volumetric percentages of rings addition (3%, 6% and 10%) were tested for each diameter. The discharging process was done with

The objective of the units has changed from making profit to meeting the desires of customers, which is what imposed a new role for management accounting as a field of knowledge renewed in it visions of competitiveness between units. Because of the increasing needs for information in light of environmental change

The focus of this research: is the study of poetic text in the pre-Islamic era and the era of early Islam. The research followed a method in treating poetic texts, as it is based on presenting poetic texts from the collection of Al-Abbas bin Mardas, explaining the features of his poetic vision, and examining all the external factors that surrounded the poet and influenced his vision and all his thoughts. The results of this research was that Al-Abbas Ibn Mardas revealed some of the positions that he found contradicted the authentic Arab value before the advent of Islam, and the poet Abbas bin Mardas tr
