Numerical Approach for the Prediction of Formation and Hydraulic Fracture Properties Considering Elliptical Flow Regime in Tight Gas Reservoirs
...Show More Authors
Abstract
As tight gas reservoirs (TGRs) become more significant to the future of the gas industry, investigation into the best methods for the evaluation of field performance is critical. While hydraulic fractured well in TRGs are proven to be most viable options for economic recovery of gas, the interpretation of pressure transient or well test data from hydraulic fractured well in TGRs for the accurate estimation of important reservoirs and fracture properties (e.g. fracture length, fracture conductivity, skin and reservoir permeability) is rather very complex and difficult because of the existence of multiple flow profiles/regimes. The flow regimes are complex in TGRs due to the large hydraulic fractures near the wellbore, combined with low matrix permeability and reservoir heterogeneity; and consequently the interpretation of well test or pressure transient data using the classical approaches usually used for conventional reservoirs can produce wrong results with high level of uncertainties. In addition, the time required to achieve radial flow regimes for such tight reservoir, as key condition to use classical approaches, is impractically long and not feasible from the context of both economic and practical operation viewpoint. These inherent causes and the operating limitations require amendment of the well test technique to analyse linear or elliptical flow regimes to accurately estimate the reservoir and fracture properties.

This paper proposed a simplified numerical approach to predict the reservoir and fracture parameters based upon well test or production data from hydraulic fractured vertical well in tight gas reservoir considering elliptical flow regime. Emphases are given on the development of simple computation tool that can be used as a handy, efficient and accurate tool to supplement the need for commercial simulators; yet can provide with estimation of reservoir and fracture properties with high level of accuracy especially in the case when limited pressure transient data is available.

In vitro apical microleakage evaluation for different endodontic sealers by spectrophotometric analysis: an observational study
...Show More Authors

Background: It has been established that several filling techniques can affect apical leakage, which is responsible for 59% of endodontic failures. The primary goal of endodontic therapy is to create a tight seal that aids in repairing the periapical tissues, prevents apical periodontitis, and shields against root canal infection. The study aims to compare the apical sealing ability of epoxy resin based sealer (AH plus), which is an epoxy-resin-based root canal sealer, GuttaFlow 2, which is a silicone-based root canal sealer, GuttaFlow bioseal is a bioactive glass-based root canal sealer, TotalFill HiFlow bioceramic (BC) sealer is a silicate-based root canal sealer (bioceramic sealer) using a single cone techn

A Computationally Efficient Gradient Algorithm for Downlink Training Sequence Optimization in FDD Massive MIMO Systems
...Show More Authors

Future wireless networks will require advance physical-layer techniques to meet the requirements of Internet of Everything (IoE) applications and massive communication systems. To this end, a massive MIMO (m-MIMO) system is to date considered one of the key technologies for future wireless networks. This is due to the capability of m-MIMO to bring a significant improvement in the spectral efficiency and energy efficiency. However, designing an efficient downlink (DL) training sequence for fast channel state information (CSI) estimation, i.e., with limited coherence time, in a frequency division duplex (FDD) m-MIMO system when users exhibit different correlation patterns, i.e., span distinct channel covariance matrices, is to date ve

Enhanced Antifouling in Flat-Sheet Polyphenylsulfone Membranes Incorporating Graphene Oxide–Tungsten Oxide for Ultrafiltration Applications
...Show More Authors

In this study tungsten oxide and graphene oxide (GO-WO2.89) were successfully combined using the ultra-sonication method and embedded with polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) to prepare novel low-fouling membranes for ultrafiltration applications. The properties of the modified membranes and performance were investigated using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), contact angle (CA), water permeation flux, and bovine serum albumin (BSA) rejection. It was found that the modified PPSU membrane fabricated from 0.1 wt.% of GO-WO2.89 possessed the best characteristics, with a 40.82° contact angle and 92.94% porosity. The permeation flux of the best membrane was the highest. The pure water permeation f

Evaluating the reality of applying the curriculum axis according to the Iraqi academic accreditation standards / a comparative study of a sample of governmental and private universities and colleges
...Show More Authors

The research aims to get acquainted with the evaluation of the reality of the application of the curriculum axis from among the eight Iraqi academic accreditation standards in a sample of governmental and private universities and colleges in Iraq and to identify the main and secondary reasons for it as well as to provide proposed mechanisms and procedures to help reduce gaps, If the research problem is represented in the weak availability of the requirements of the curriculum axis in universities and colleges (the study sample) due to the weak documentation and successful implementation of them and interest in them is still below the level of ambition, In order to arrive at scientific facts, the researchers adopted the comparativ

Besharat and Quranic signs of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): Study and analysis

In this paper, I highlight the bishops mentioned in the Bible in its sections
(The Old and New Testaments) where these books still retain the remaining remnant of the Bible
Issuing the prophets who preceded the mission of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and they must pray
And peace, as those bishops were mentioned in the Book of Formation through the recitation of the psalms
To Habakkuk, Malakhi, and Hajji.
As well as in the New Testament, which we see clearly in the four Angels: Matthew, Luke,
Disco, John.
Then the male lamented what was said of those bishops by expressing the eternal heavenly book (the Qur'an)

State-of-the Art-Powerhouse, Dam Structure, and Turbine Operation and Vibrations
...Show More Authors

Dam and powerhouse operation sustainability is a major concern from the hydraulic engineering perspective. Powerhouse operation is one of the main sources of vibrations in the dam structure and hydropower plant; thus, the evaluation of turbine performance at different water pressures is important for determining the sustainability of the dam body. Draft tube turbines run under high pressure and suffer from connection problems, such as vibrations and pressure fluctuation. Reducing the pressure fluctuation and minimizing the principal stress caused by undesired components of water in the draft tube turbine are ongoing problems that must be resolved. Here, we conducted a comprehensive review of studies performed on dams, powerhouses, a
