The meteorological data recorded in Al-Hilla station for the period (1984-2014) were used to describe the climatic condition of the Greater Musaiyab Project lies in Babylon Governorate, 90Km southern of Baghdad City, central of Iraq. This study found that the summation of rainfall is (112.323 mm), average of relative humidity (47.44%), temperature (25.55 C◦), sunshine (8.748 h/day) and the total of evaporation is (2268.463 mm). In this research, three classifications were applied to find the type of climate in the study area.  During the period from September 2013 till the end of July 2014 ,a total of 340 birds Passer domesticus were collected from Tikrit city . The study revealed the infection of birds with seven species of  cestoda  helminthes , belonging to the genus Raillietin . These species included  R. tetragona , R. echinobothrida , R. cesticellus and R. ransomi with prevalence infection of 36.1% , 30.1% . 15.0 % and 1.8 % respectively . And the genus Choanotaenia . These species included  C. infundibulum and C. passerine with pervatence infection of 15.0% and 0.6% respectively . And the genus Anonchotuenia . Twelve stations in the cities of Kufa and Mishkhab were selected for studying the geotechnical, including physical, engineering, chemical and mineralogical, properties of soils in the river banks along the Euphrates River. Grain size distribution of the bank soils showed higher silt than clay and sand percentages. Soil samples from the 12 stations were classified according to the USCS standards. Silt with low plasticity constituted 91% of the silt fraction, whereas that with high plasticity composed 9%.
