In this paper, the air pollutants concentrations measurements such as Total
Suspended Particles(TSP), Carbon Monoxides(CO),Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and
meteorological parameters including temperature (T), relative humidity (RH) and
wind speed & direction were conducted in Baghdad city by several stations
measuring numbered (22) stations located in different regions, and were classified
into (industrial, commercial and residential) stations. The results show that the
concentrations of pollutants (TSP, CO, and CO2) have exceeded the air quality
standards set by World Health Organization (WHO) and Iraqi limitation in the

The main source of water supply in Iraq is the surface water, especially Tigris and Euphrates Rivers and their tributaries. The composition of the clay taken from the lake of Hamrin, Iraq was studied with the determination of the concentrations of the major oxides and the minor oxides in it.   Kaolinite was the most dominant clay in the samples, while quartz was the most abundant non-clay mineral.

Direct determination of trace metals Zn, Mn, Cu and Co were performed in serum
blood samples of two groups diabetic patient type 2 and non diabetes by ICP spectrometric
method. Results show the low levels of these elements Zn, Mn and Co while high level of Cu
detected compared with non diabetes according to these results good evidence can be made to
control these levels through a special diet containing these metals.

A study of taxonomic quality of soil algae was conducted with some environmental variables in three sites of local gardens (Kadhimiya, Adhamiya and Dora) within the governorate of Baghdad for the period from October 2016 to March 2017.
