A total of 533 specimens were collected in survey of Brachyceran species from different regions of Iraq during February to November 2014 .This study was reported 16 species belonging to 13 genera and 7 families, the results showed that Dicranosepsis Duda, 1926 (Family; Sepsidae) is  recorded the genus  for the first time in Iraq.

    The ciliate species isolated from midgut and hindgut of Rough-tailed gecko Cyrtopodion scabrum (Heyden, 1827), identified as Nyctotherus hardwickii was collected from many regions of Baghdad, Iraq. The current study deals with a description and comparison of the morphology and morphometric characters of this species for the first time in Iraq.

This study includes a detailed morphological description of Cosmina baghdadensis sp. nov.
from Iraq.
Many characters are used in identification especially chaetotaxy and male genetalia.
Locality, host plant, and data of collection were given.

Saxifraga afghanica Aitch. & Hemsl. is a new addition to the Saxifragaceae family in Iraq, from Qandil mountain (north-east of Erbil) within Rowanduz district (MRO). The collected specimens have different characteristics. S. afghanica is perennial, herb, with crowded shoots forming cushions, many branched. Leaves sessil, narrowly oblong, narrowly oblong-lanceolate, oblanceolate or sub-spatulate, glabrous, entire, ciliated at lower half, apex leaves aggregated into a rosette, chalk glands (pits at the leaves apex) 5. Bracts cultrate, linear or narrowly oblong, glandular-pubescent. Inflorescence corymbose cyme, flowers (3-5), white-pink, stamens 10, ovary semi-inferior, styles 2, divergent, recurved at the top.     Ziziphora persica Bunge is recorded as a new Study in Iraq. This species has been collected from Jabal Sinjar in Nineveh province in the north western part of Iraq. The morphological characters, habitat and geographical distribution of the species with a key to Ziziphora L. species in Iraq have been provided.

  External Morphological study of  species Saprinus discoidalis of subfamily saprininae from family Histeridae of the order coleopteran. The specements of  the present study were collected from Salahdin Governor-ate (Beigi &Balad) and Governorate during May 2012.         The present study included detailed description of most body parts (Head, Thorax, Abdomen and their appendages) identification and recognition of species study male genitalia. The species Saprinus discoidalis LeConte is a new record to Iraqi fauna of Coleoptera.
 

The present study introduces description of a new species of leafhopper of genus Assuita Lindberg; 1969. This study includes external morphological characters and the spotting patterns and photos of vertex face pronotum, mesonotum, fore wing, hind wing and the shape of male abdominal abodeme, also aedeagus, connective, genital style and genital plate.

    A revised checklist of the robber fly genera (Diptera, Asilidae) was given during this study in Iraq. The investigation showed (21) genera belonging to seven subfamilies, two genera new recorded to entomofauna of Iraq (Promachus Loew, 1848 and Genus: Dysmacus Loew, 1860). Eight genera showed in this investigation and eleven genera were recorded previously to Iraq.

    This article reveals the first record of the parasitoid wasp, Monodontomerus obscurus Westwood (Hymenoptera, Torymidae) from Iraq.  A total of 27 specimens were emerged from mud nests of sphecoid wasp of Sceliphron sp. (Hymenoptera, Sphecidae), that collected from a wall at a residential garden in Dohuk province.  A short morphological description is presented.
