Many complexes of 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl phenyl methanone with Cr(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, UV/visible spectra, elemental analysis, room temperature magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity. Cd(II) complex was expected to have tetrahedral structure while all the other complexes were expected to have an octahedral structure.

Reaction of  p-fluoro benzoic acid with the thiosemicarbazide and salcialdehyde gave the new bidentate ligand .The prepared ligand Identified by FT-I.R and U.V-Visible spectcopic technique .Treatment of the prepared   ligand   with following metal ions  M=Tb(III),Eu(III),Nd(III) and La(III) ,in ethanol with a (1:1) M:L ratio and at pH=7 yielded series of neutral complexes as the general formula  [M LCl (H O ]. The prepared complexes were characterized using (FT-IR, UV-Vis) spectra , melting point, molar conductivity measurements . chloride ion content were also evolution by (mhor method) . A Schiff base ligand 1,2-[Bis-(1-phenyl-2-hydroxy-2-phenyl)-amino] benzene [H2L] and its complexes with (Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II)) ions are reported. The ligand was prepared by condensation reaction of ortho-phenylenediamine in methanol under reflux with benzoin to give the mentioned ligand. Then the complexes were synthesized by adding corresponding metal salts to the solution of the ligand in methanol under reflux with 1:1 metal to ligand ratio. On the basis of molar conductance I.R., U.V-Vis, HPLC, chloride content and atomic absorption the complexes may be formulated as K2[M(L)Cl2][MII = Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg]. The data of these measurements suggest a tetrahedral geometry to complexes Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg.
 

n the present work, a study is carried out to remove chromium (III) from
aqueous solution by: activated charcoal , attapulgite and date palm leaflet powder
(pinnae). The effect of various parameters such as contact time, and temperature has
been studied. The isotherm equilibrium data were well fitted by Freundlich and
Langmuir isotherm models. The adsorption capacity of chromium (III) that was
observed by activated charcoal , attapulgite and date palm leaflet powder (pinnae)
increased with the rise of temperature when the concentrations of Cr (III) were 600,

The present study was conducted to examine toxicological effects of copper sulfate (Cu) in common carp fish (Cyprinus carpio L.). The LC50 (median lethal concentrations) of copper on Cyprinus carpio were 3.64, 3.36, 3.04, 2.65 mg/L respectively.
