This study was achieved to calculate the annual effective dose equivalent (AEDE) in units of (mSv.y^-1), and the average radiation dose rate (ADR) in units of (μSv.h^-1) which were measured by portable devices.   The study was carried out on the workers of the destroyed radiochemistry laboratory located at Al-Twuitha nuclear site (south of Baghdad). In Iraq, a total of 93 species of wild mammals have been recorded including species with global conservation concern. Bamo Mountain is situated within the Zagros Mountains in northern Iraq which is a suitable habitat for wild mammals. In this study, some physical and mechanical properties of soil samples collected from the campus site of College of Science, University of Diyalahave been evaluated. All laboratory tests were performed according to the standards of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
