Antibacterial Activity of Bioactive Glass 45S5 and Chitosan Incorporated as Fillers into Gutta Percha, Ahmed I AL-Jobory*, Raghad AL-Hashimi

Newly series of 6,6’-((2-(Aryl)dihydropyrimidine-1,3(2H,4H)-diyl)bis(methylene))bis(2-methoxy phenol) (3a-i) were synthesized from cyclization of 6,6’-((propane-1,3-diylbis (azanediyl)) bis(methylene)) bis(2-methoxyphenol) with several aryl aldehyde in the presence of acetic acid. The newly compounds characterized from their IR, NMR and EIMs spectra. The antioxidant capacity of these compounds screened by utilizing DPPH and FRAP assays. Compounds 3g and 3i exhibited significant antioxidant capability in both assays. Docking study for these compounds as a potential inhibitors of gyrase enzyme were carried out. The aim of this research is to determine how well the Cubing Technique affects the Iraqi EFL students' composition writing, vocabulary, and meta-cognitive awareness of writing strategies. The sample of (64) secondary-school female students in the fifth grade is drawn from two classrooms and split into two equal groups: the experimental group and the control group, each of which consists of (32) students. In this work, mesoporous silica SBA-15 was prepared and functionalized with amine groups (i.e., NH2) to form NH2/SBA-15. The curcumin (CUR) was encapsulated into the surface and pore of NH2/SBA-15 to create CUR@NH2/SBA-15 as an efficient carrier in drug delivery systems (DDSs). The three samples (i.e., SBA-15, NH2/SBA-15, and CUR@NH2/SBA-15) were characterized. The study investigated the effect of the carrier dose, initial CUR concentration, pH, and contact time on the CUR loading efficiency (DLE%) via adsorption. The best DLE% for the SBA-15 and NH2/SBA-15 were found to be 45% and 89.7%, respectively. The Langmuir isotherm had a greater correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.998 for SBA-15. Background: As a multifactorial disorder, temporomandibular joint (TMD) is difficult to diagnose, and multiple factors affect the joint and cause the temporomandibular disorder. Standardization of clinical diagnosis of TMD should be used to reach a definite clinical diagnosis; the condylar bone may degenerate in accordance with these disorders. Aims: Evaluate the correlation between the clinical diagnosis and degenerative condylar change (flattening, sclerosis, erosion, and osteophyte).
