Role of Calcium Sulphate in Metigating the Adverse Effect of NaCl in Some of Growth Parameters of (Triticum aestivum L.)C.V. Fateh in Hydroponic Culture
...Show More Authors

This study was carried out to study the tolerance degree of wheat Triticum aestivum L. C. V. AL-Fateh to NaCl (0,20,50,70,100) mM by using CaSO4 (1,5,10) mM in hydroponic culture.  The results showed that the adverse effect of NaCl on some growth parameters such as chlorophyll concentration , soluble carbohydrates and protein content in shoot and root systems were increased with increase of NaCl concentration in growth medium , But these effects are reduced  by using CaSo4 to ellivate the stress of NaCl . The best results were obtained by using 5mM of CaSO4 with 50mM of NaCl and 10mM of CaSO4 with 100mM of NaCl in these concentrations the chlorophyll , soluble carbohydrates and protein contents were raised to the l

Right Truncated Shankar Distribution and its Properties
...Show More Authors

Since the importance of truncated distributions has increased in many scientific fields in recent years and they provide valuable insights when dealing with censored or truncated data, this paper presents the Right Truncated Shanker Distribution as a new statistical distribution developed for modelling right truncated data. The distribution is defined by specifying its probability density function and cumulative distribution function under the truncation condition, the survival function and the hazard function. In addition, some properties of the right truncated Shanker distribution are derived, such as the moments around the origin, the variance, the coefficients of skewness and kurtosis, the moment generating function, and

Solution of High Order Ordinary Boundary Value Problems Using Semi-Analytic Technique
...Show More Authors

The aim of this paper is to present a method for solving high order ordinary differential equations with two point's boundary condition, we propose semi-analytic technique using two-point oscillatory interpolation to construct polynomial solution. The original problem is concerned using two-point oscillatory interpolation with the fit equal numbers of derivatives at the end points of an interval [0 , 1] .  Also, many examples are presented to demonstrate the applicability, accuracy and efficiency of the method by comparing with conventional methods.

Recently, biometric technologies are used widely due to their improved security that decreases cases of deception and theft. The biometric technologies use physical features and characters in the identification of individuals. The most common biometric technologies are: Iris, voice, fingerprint, handwriting and hand print. In this paper, two biometric recognition technologies are analyzed and compared, which are the iris and sound recognition techniques. The iris recognition technique recognizes persons by analyzing the main patterns in the iris structure, while the sound recognition technique identifies individuals depending on their unique voice characteristics or as called voice print. The comparison results show that the resul

In this study, Mn-Ni Ferrite was prepared by using two composites of manganese ferrite ( MnFe2o4 )  and Nicle Ferrite ( NiFe2O4) tested by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) method. The dielectric constant (𝜀̅) and the dielectric loss tangent (𝑡𝑎𝑛 𝛿) were studied for the ferrite system prepared at different frequencies (100, 200… and 5000 kHz). It was found that the values of (𝜀̅) and (𝑡𝑎𝑛 𝛿) decrease with the  increase of frequencies.

The research tackled to solve Sudoku grid problem 9 ×9 , one of artificial intelligence problems. This problem has many of solutions in search space to generate Sudoku grid by using magic square of odd order as 3. This research concludes solution by proposed heuristic algorithm from magic square of odd order as 3 and no given numbers (from 1 to 9) in each cell of nine Sudoku grid cells in starting of problem solution, this is not similar the solution in old classic methods to generate all sub grids in Sudoku grid. The experimental results in this paper show the easily implementation to solve the problem to manage without manual method, additional to position of numbers (1, 2,..9) in center of each sub grid in Sudoku grid

Theoretical Study for the Electron Drift Velocity in Sf6 Gas and Its Mixture with Nitrogen

The calculations are achieved by using the numerical solution for  Boltzmann transport equation in two term approximation, using the NOMAD  program for the drift velocity in a gas medium. It's necessary to note that the solution is essentially depending upon the elastic and inelastic collision cross section. In order to fixe a good accuracy for the using cross section it's necessary to calculate the electron distribution function and therefore study their behavior. Results about the electron drift velocity show that a decreasing pro

A simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method is described for the determination of diclofenac sodium (DCL), in pure form and pharmaceutical formulations. The method is based on the oxidation of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPH) and coupling of the oxidized product with DCL in alkaline medium to give intensively colored chromogen which exhibits maximum absorption (λmax) at 600 nm, and the concentration of DCL was determined spectrophotometrically. The optimum reaction conditions and other analytical parameters were evaluated. Age and growth of a population of Varicorhinus trutta (Heckel) from Tigris river at Salahuldin province have been investigated during the period from September 1999 to August 2000. A total of 156 fishes were collected from two stations at Tigris river using small meshed gill nets. The age data revealed that the species under investigation reached to a maximum age of seven years and approximately 46 cm long. The population of this species in Tigris river at the sites of study was dominated by 3 and 4 years classes. There were no marked differences in growth or longevity between the sexes.
