This study indicate that the four lines of FAOBRO chicken breeders could be exposed to non-vira1 infections .The range of acceptability were variable from one line of breeders to another. The perccentage of yolk sac infection was ( 44. 3% ) at the age of first week in chickens in all lines. cocidial infection represent percentage ( 27.1% ) in the lines A,C and D only , cases of septicemia were recorded in brooding, rearing and eggs production with a percentage of (21.7%). the highest was seen in the eggs production period Air sacculitis occurrence was in a percentage of (3.5%) from the total cases examined and was seen in line B only at brooding period .Gout cases

     The study was conducted to investigate and characteriz the time of uterine involution in local goats in Iraq by measuring the uterine diameter, uterine lumen (mm) and monitoring early post-partum ovarian activity as proved by Ultrasonography and progesterone assessment in local goats. 15 goats were submitted to examine from day 3 to 40 after kidding by Ultrasonography. Trans abdominal ultrasound approach was performed from day 3 to 5 after kidding and continued by trans rectal approach to follow up the uterine involution until day 40. A total of 100 fecal samples were collected from adults and young and from both sexes of human. THR USE OF DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SINGLE CELL PROTEIN IN BROILER RATIONS

The present work was carried out in poultry experiment farm of Animal Resources Dept.., College of Agric., Baghdad University, Iraq. Five different levels of single cell protein (0, 5, 10, 15, 20%) replaced to soybean meal in the diets of broiler chick and 600 one day old chicks (Hubberd). The birds were randomly distributed among five treatments (two replicate for each treatment.), 60 chicks per replicate. The results showed that. the diet containing 10% single cell protein was the best diet among the other treatments. The average body weight in six weeks old were 1081.5, 1097, 1171, 1095, 332 gr for the treatments used respectively.

TOXIC EFFECTS OF LARGE DOSE OF QUASSIN IN NORMAL AND DEPRIVED MICROFLORA RAT GROUPS

Eighteen rats were divided into three equal groups. The first group was closed orally with quassin, the second group was dosed with quassin after the gut flora were suppressed by difierent antibiotics, and the third group was served as a control. Food intake, water intake, and change in body weight were measured daily before dosing, during two weeks of dosing, and during one week after stopping dosing. Two eats from each group were killed at the end of each week, and stomach, liver, and kidney were collected for histopathologic examination.

      The aim of this study is to determine the sensitivity of bacterial culture technique in the detection of Brucella abortus in milk samples of aborted cows. Sixty samples of milk were collected from aborted cows during a period which did not exceed two months after the abortion. All of them were positive for rose bengal test. Results showed that Brucella abortus was isolated from 7 out of 60 (11.6%) from the milk of aborted cows, while PCR test showed that 32 out of 60 (53.3%) milk sample contained Brucella abortus.
