Effect of Methotrexate Drug on Some Parameters of Kidney in Newborn mice

Thirty pregnant albino mice with average body weight of 25-30gm and 8-14 weeks old were used to investigate the toxicity of the oral administration of anticancer methotrexate on kidneys after birth. Pregnant were received (single dose) of drug at different days of gestation and were divided into three groups (10mice / group), control groups were administered distilled water, the two remaining groups were administered by 2.5 and 7.5 mg/kg body weight of methotrexate. The changes in kidneys of newborns revealed significant (p<0.05) decrease in kidneys weights, kidneys lengths, pelvises lengths, and glomeruli diameters. The increase in concentration of methotrexate has increasing significant effect on kidneys of embryo and newborns.

LAS is the basic material in the industry of liquid and solid detergents, the adsorption of LAS achieved in the concentration 50-1000 mg.l-1.
The adsorption efficiency on bentonite was modified using a cationic surfactant which is Cetyl Pyridinium Bromide (CPB), that raised the adsorption percentage Q(%) from 36% for free bentonite to 81% for modified bentonite at 298 K using 250 ppm LAS solution.
The effect of adding three kinds of inorganic salts was studied; the salts were Pb(NO3)2, MgSO4, and CaSO4 in the concentration range (100-400) mg.l-1, The results showed a negative effect on the sorption process.

This method is based on the diazotization reaction of metoclopramide hydrochloride with sodium nitrite in hydrochloric acid medium; the formed diazonium salt is then coupled with phenol in sodium hydroxide medium, to form a yellow water-soluble mono azo dye. Beer’s law is obeyed in the concentration range of 1 – 20 μg mL-1 at 463 nm with detection limit 0.406 μg mL-1. The molar absorptivity and Sandell’s sensitivity were found to be 2.42 × 104 L mol-1 cm-1 and 0.0015 μg cm-2, respectively. After applied FDNAT on the seismic data, it gives good results and caused to remove a lot of random noise. This processing is helpful in enhancement the picking of the signal of the reflectors and therefore the interpretation of data will be easy later. In this study, four sampling stations were selected on the Tigris River (Baghdad region) in order to determine concentrations, seasonal variation and pollution intensity assessment of heavy metals (Cd, Zn and Mn) in water, sediments and Barbus xanthpterus fish in this river. Pomegranate Peels as Biosorbent Material to Remove Heavy Metal Ions from Industerial Wastewater

Pomegranate peels were used to remove zinc, chromium and nickel from industrial wastewater. Three forms of these peels (fresh, dried small pieces and powder) were tested under some environmental factors such as pH, temperature and contact time.
The obtained results showed that these peels are capable of removing zinc, chromium and nickel ions at significant capacities. The powder of the peels had the highest capability in bioremoving all zinc, chromium and nickel ions while dried peels had the lowest capacity again for all metals under test. The study showed that the chitin synthesis inhibitor applaud caused biological effects represented in molting failure of larva to subsequent phase or to pupal stage, pupa to adults and mortality. Annealing effect on the structural and Morphological properties of Organic Semiconductor Alq3:C60 blend Thin Films

In this work, has been a studied the effect of thermal treatment using different annealing temperatures (373, 423 and 473) K in vacuum on structural and morphological properties of organic semiconductor Alq3:C60 thin films which are prepared by the spin coating on a glass, silicon and porous silicon.  These films have been coated on substrates with speed of 2000 rpm.
