F-µ-Semiregular Modules
...Show More Authors

Let  R be an associative ring with identity and let M be a left R-module . As a generalization of µ-semiregular modules, we introduce an F-µ-semiregular module. Let F be a submodule of M and x∊M. x is called F-µ-semiregular element in M , if there exists a decomposition M=A⨁B, such that A is a projective submodule of  and . M is called  F-µ-semiregular if x is F-µ-semiregular element for each x∊M. A condition under which the module µ-semiregular is F-µ-semiregular module was given. The basic properties and some characterizations of the F-µ-semiregular module were provided.

On Closed Quasi Principally Injective Acts over Monoids
...Show More Authors

The concept of closed quasi principally injective acts over monoids is introduced ,which signifies a generalization for the quasi principally injective as well as for the closed quasi injective acts. Characterization of this concept is intended to show the behavior of a closed quasi principally injective property. At the same time, some properties of closed quasi principally injective acts are examined in terms of their endomorphism monoid. Also, the characterization of a closed self-principally injective monoid is given in terms of its annihilator. The relationship between the following concepts is also studied; closed quasi principally injective acts over monoids, Hopfian, co Hopfian, and directly finite property. Ultimately, based on

The Daily Pattern at 500 hPa Geopotential Heights and Its Association with Heavy Rainfall over Iraq
...Show More Authors

Rainfall in the mid-latitudes is highly related to the synoptic pattern at the upper-levels, this study focuses on the relationship between 500 hPa geopotential height patterns and the cyclone at the surface. Synoptic studies that there is a correlation between cyclone at the surface and deepening of the trough at the upper in the mid-latitudes. The results show that when the upper trough is situated over the eastern Mediterranean, this will enhance the advection of warm and moist air from the tropical region, which will cause baroclinic instability over Iraq, leading to heavy precipitation and torrents in some situations.

Beam Shaping Technique for 5-mm Fiber-coupled Laser Diode Bars with Lens Group
...Show More Authors

In the last few years, fiber-coupled diode lasers have shown massive applications in many fields of communication and scientific research. Particularly, the pumping of solid-state lasers is a key application for more powerful diode lasers enabling good solutions in various laser micro methods like metal cutting, sintering, structuring as well as drilling. In this work, a simple beam shaping method is demonstrated for coupling a high-power semiconductor laser diode into multi-mode fiber optic using optical lenses. The optical lenses as beam transformation components are utilized to reshape the asymmetrical irradiation of the diode laser bar and to circularize the laser beam. Using this simple method, compact, high-output-power, and high-b

New Approach of Generating Ground-Truth for Local Surveillance Dataset Tested with Benchmark Background Subtraction Models
...Show More Authors

Background subtraction is the dominant approach in the domain of moving object detection. Lots of research has been done to design or improve background subtraction models. However, there are a few well-known and state-of-the-art models that can be applied as a benchmark. Generally, these models are applied to different dataset benchmarks. Most of the time, choosing an appropriate dataset is challenging due to the lack of dataset availability and the tedious process of creating ground-truth frames for the sake of quantitative evaluation. Therefore, in this article, we collected local video scenes of a street and river taken by a stationary camera, focusing on dynamic background challenges. We presented a new technique for creati

Developing the Complexity and Security of the Twofish Algorithm Through a New Key Scheduling Design
...Show More Authors

The Twofish cipher is a very powerful algorithm with a fairly complex structure that permeates most data parsing and switching and can be easily implemented. The keys of the Twofish algorithm are of variable length (128, 192, or 256 bits), and the key schedule is generated once and repeated in encrypting all message blocks, whatever their number, and this reduces the confidentiality of encryption. This article discusses the process of generating cipher keys for each block. This concept is new and unknown in all common block cipher algorithms. It is based on the permanent generation of sub keys for all blocks and the key generation process, each according to its work. The Geffe's Generator is used to generate subkeys to make eac

This article discusses the estimation methods for parameters of a generalized inverted exponential distribution with different estimation methods by using Progressive type-I interval censored data. In addition to conventional maximum likelihood estimation, the mid-point method, probability plot method and method of moments are suggested for parameter estimation. To get maximum likelihood estimates, we utilize the Newton-Raphson, expectation -maximization and stochastic expectation-maximization methods. Furthermore, the approximate confidence intervals for the parameters are obtained via the inverse of the observed information matrix. The Monte Carlo simulations are used to introduce numerical comparisons of the proposed estimators. In ad

Minimizing the power consumption of electronic systems is one of the most critical concerns in the design of integrated circuits for very large-scale integration (VLSI). Despite the reality that VLSI design is known for its compact size, low power, low price, excellent dependability, and high functionality, the design stage remains difficult to improve in terms of time and power. Several optimization algorithms have been designed to tackle the present issues in VLSI design. This study discusses a bi-objective optimization technique for circuit partitioning based on a genetic algorithm. The motivation for the proposed research is derived from the basic concept that, if some portions of a circuit's system are deactivated during th

The analysis of COVID-19 data in Iraq is carried out. Data includes daily cases and deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic in Iraq on February 2020 until the 28th of June 2022. This is done by fitting some distributions to the data in order to find out the most appropriate distribution fit to both daily cases and deaths due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The statistical analysis includes estimation of the parameters, the goodness of fit tests and illustrative probability plots. It was found that the generalized extreme value and the generalized Pareto distributions may provide a good fit for the data for both daily cases and deaths. However, they were rejected by the goodness of fit test statistics due to the high variability of the data.<
