Two sensitive and fast spectrophotometric methods using batch and flow-injection procedures for the determination of paracetamol are proposed. The methods are based on the formation of a red dye between this drug and diazotized 4-nitroaniline in sodium carbonate medium. The reaction conditions are studied and optimized for both batch and flow injection procedures. The calibration graphs resulting from measuring the absorbance at 528 nm are linear over the ranges 0.5 – 20 and 1 – 150 μg mL-1 of paracetamol with relative standard deviations of 1.2420% and 1.5634% for batch and flow-injection methods, respectively. A correlation study between hyperthyroidism and some apoptosis markers among Iraqi patients

The aim was to measure the level of some apoptosis markers and some autoimmune antibodies related to the thyroid gland in Iraqi patients with hyperthyroidism and evaluate the correlation between all the measured parameters. The efficiency of bioaccumulation of the two species as bioindicators for aquatic heavy metal pollution with Cd, Ni, Pb and Cu was investigated. On Integrability of Christou’s Sixth Order Solitary Wave Equations

We examine the integrability in terms of Painlevè analysis for several models of higher order nonlinear solitary wave equations which were recently derived by Christou. Our results point out that these equations do not possess Painlevè property and fail the Painlevè test for some special values of the coefficients; and that indicates a non-integrability criteria of the equations by means of the Painlevè integrability.

We call these concepts; cosemi-essential submodules and cosemi-uniform modules respectively. Also, we verify that these concepts form generalizations of two well-known classes; coessential submodules and couniform modules respectively. Some conditions are considered to obtain the equivalence between cosemi-uniform and couniform. Using ISSR markers to build a phylogenetic of Barley Genotypes

This study is attempts to build a phylogenetic between nine Iraqi barley
genotypes based on ISSR-PCR analysis by determine the level of genetic similarity
among them. Nine issr primers used in this study produced 41 bands across nine
studied varieties. Of these bands, 28 bands were polymorphic and the remaining
monomorphic bands were 13. The average polymorphic rate was 70.5% ranged
between 25%-100% , and average of polymorphic bands /primer was 4.5.The size
of the amplified bands ranged 140-1600 bp. It was generated a 5 unique bands in
this study, these bands can be used as a DNA profiling of all studied genotypes. The
results were showed Genetic distances ranged between (0.0854-0.9897) among

The Prevalence of Autoimmune Thyroiditis in A sample of Infertile Iraqi Women

In the present study, the aim was made to identify the relationship between thyroid autoimmunity (TAI) and female infertility. The study was performed on 30 infertile women and 22 age-matched healthy fertile control age (33 ± 5 years). Overall, serum prolactin (PRL), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) assay is the key test for the diagnosis and management of hypo and hyperthyroidism. Anti-TPO Ab and anti-TG Ab were measured. The mean ± SE of serum PRL (31.080 ± 3.06) ng/ml was significantly (P<0.05) higher in infertile group compared with control (16.191±1.36) ng/ml. The present study aims at identification of dermatophytes species and varieties from patients in Wasit province-Iraq using molecular approach based PCR fingerprint.
The short oligonucleotide (GACA)4 is a microsatellite primer was used in this study for identification of dermatophyte isolates.
