The topological indices are functions on the graph that do not depend on the labeling of their vertices. They are used by chemists for studying the properties of chemical compounds.  Let  be a simple connected graph. The Hyper-Zagreb index of the graph ,  is defined as  ,where  and  are the degrees of vertex  and , respectively. In this paper, we study the Hyper-Zagreb index and give upper and lower bounds for .

Biostratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous Fort Munro Formation, Rakhi Gorge, Eastern Sulaiman Range, Pakistan: Geology
...Show More Authors

The Fort Munro Formation is well exposed along DG Khan-Fort Munro road, a type locality. The section was measured and sampled for the biostratigraphy, where it has a conformable lower contact with Mughalkot Formation and is underlain by the Pab Sandstone. The total observed thickness was 105 meters, and 26 samples were collected from top to the bottom at random intervals. Fifty thin sections were studied carefully, and five species of large benthic foraminifera, including Orbitoidestissoti, Orbitoidesapiculata, Orbitoides media, Orbitoideshottingeri, and Omphalocyclusmacroporus were identified along with miliolids. Gastropods, Bivalves and Echinoderms were also observed. Based on identified microfossils, the de

Enhancing the indication of ancient geologic features by using Seismic Attributes technique extracted along picked horizons of seismic and flattened data
...Show More Authors

Three Seismic Attributes are used to enhance or delineate geologic feature that cannot be detected within seismic resolution limit. These are Instantaneous Amplitude, Instantaneous Phase and Instantaneous Frequency Attributes. These are applied along two defined picked surface horizons within 3D seismic data for an area in southern Iraq. Two geologic features are deduced, the first represents complex channel system at the top of Saadi Formation and the second represents submarine fan within Mishrif Formation. The semblances of these ancient geological features are dramatically enhanced by using flattening technique.

GROUNDWATER CHEMISTRY OF THE PLIO-PLEISTOCENE AQUIFER OF ERBIL HYDROGEOLOGIC BASIN, N.IRAQ.
...Show More Authors

The studied aquifer is the Plio-Pleistocene unit of layering mixed facies of gravel, sand, silt and clay with respect to conglomerate. Two hydrochemical groups were identified as bicarbonate and sulphate. Two families in each group are strongly acting with depth and laterally a part from the hydrogeologic boundaries.
The bicarbonate families are Ca-HCO3and Mg-HCO, while that of sulphate are Mg-SOand Na-SO. The distribution map of salinity reflects a trend of increase in salinity which clarify the different flow orientation within the sub-basins. The minimum recorded of salinity is 750 ppm, while the maximum is 7500ppm. The ten folds salinity occurs at the western boundary condition of Avana and Khurmala anticlines, where the Fatha g

A simple, rapid and sensitive spectrophotmetic method for trace determination of salbutamol sulphate (SBS) in aqueous solution and in pharmaceutical preparations is described .The method is based on the coupling reaction of the intended compound with diazotized o-nitroaniline (DONA) in alkaline medium to form an intense yellow-orange, water soluble dye that is stable and shows maximum absorption at 448 nm .A working curve of absorbance versus concentration indicates that Beer’s low is obeyed over the concentration range of 50-1000 g of SBS in a final volume of 25-ml ( i.e. 2-40 ppm), with a molar absorpativity of 1.58×104 L.mol-1.cm-1 ,a sandell’s sensitivity of 0.0365 g.cm-2 ,a relative error of (-1.156) – 2.874  and a r

The Effects of Some Physical and Chemical Factors on Apparent Resistivity of Surface Soil in the University of Mosul, Mosul City, Northern Iraq
...Show More Authors

Soil resistivity depends on many overlapping factors, which influence it in various ways. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of some physical and chemical factors on soil apparent resistivity. The results of field, laboratory, and statistical studies revealed a complex relationship between water content, pH, and salinity with soil apparent resistivity. The results showed that water content had a clear effect on apparent resistivity, as it increased significantly when water content value decreased to less than about 5%. The results also showed that increasing the salinity ratio at the expense of water content led to an increase in the apparent resistivity values. The apparent resistivity values also increased significantly

In this work, polypyrrole (PPy) composites were chemically prepared by a chemical oxidation method. Also, Tungsten Trioxide (WO3) nanoparticles were prepared and added in certain proportions to PPy. The structure properties were studied for the polypyrole and tungesten trioxide separately before mixing them together. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed a hexagonal WO3 and a triclinic PPy. It was observed that the nano-composite prepared by the addition of WOwith 10 and 20% volume ratios to PPy shows a triclinic phase with the presence of hexagons. While several methods of automatic video segmentation for the identification of shot transition have been proposed, they have not been systematically compared. In this paper, several segmentation techniques cross different type of video are examined. Each of these techniques defines a measure of dissimilarity between successive frames, which is then compared to a threshold .Dissimilarity values exceeding the threshold identify shot transition.
The techniques are compared in terms of the percentage of correct and false identifications for various thresholds, their sensitivity to the threshold value their performance across different type of video, their ability to identify complicated transition effects, and their requirements for co

Suggesting Multipath Routing and Dividing the Zone to Process Communication Failure in Ad Hoc Networks
...Show More Authors

Ad hoc networks are characterized by ease of setup, low costs, and frequent use in the corporate world. They ensure safety to the user and maintain the confidentiality of the information circulated. They also allow the user to address the cases of communication failure in areas subject to destruction of communication infrastructure. The proposed protocols in the ad hoc networks often build only one path to achieve communication between the nodes, due to the restrictions of battery run out and the movement of the nodes. This connection is often subject to a failure within a certain range. Thus, multiple alternate paths in ad hoc networks use a solution to failing node communications. In addition, when looking at the situation where interf

Nowadays, huge digital images are used and transferred via the Internet. It has been the primary source of information in several domains in recent years. Blur image is one of the most common difficult challenges in image processing, which is caused via object movement or a camera shake. De-blurring is the main process to restore the sharp original image, so many techniques have been proposed, and a large number of research papers have been published to remove blurring from the image. This paper presented a review for the recent papers related to de-blurring published in the recent years (2017-2020). It provides Late Pleistocene record, with Holocene is missing and not represented.
Variations in δ13C and δ18O reveal changes in environmental conditions, induced by climate change. The Influence of NMI against Modularity in Community Detection Problem: A Case Study for Unsigned and Signed Networks

Community detection is useful for better understanding the structure of complex networks. It aids in the extraction of the required information from such networks and has a vital role in different fields that range from healthcare to regional geography, economics, human interactions, and mobility. The method for detecting the structure of communities involves the partitioning of complex networks into groups of nodes, with extensive connections within community and sparse connections with other communities. In the literature, two main measures, namely the Modularity (Q) and Normalized Mutual Information (NMI) have been used for evaluating the validation and quality of the detected community structures. It is worth noting that preprocessing steps take remarkable efforts to handle this type of data, since it is pure data set with so many null values reaching a ratio of 94.8%, then it becomes 0% after achieving these steps. However, in order to apply Classification And Regression Tree (CART) algorithm, several tests were assumed as classes, because of the dataset was unlabeled. Which then enabled discovery of patterns of tests relationships, that consequently, extends its impact on patients’ health, since it will assist in determining test values by performing only relevant
